ehhh sort of but not really? i took a bit of a cue there when i was coming up with their characters, but there's not a full overlap and i have no plans to draw horses. they wouldn't refer to themselves as such. it's just clockwork's weirdass death family

i love this but i have to ask is the black one death? not that there is anything wrong with that but i always preferred the black clock and scythe death with a void for a face. keep things ambiguous.

the one with the crown is Death, but they're all kind of death? ambiguity of character is really not what i was aiming for with any of them.

i guess i meant is it boss death? with so many versions of death across media it's hard to choose one.

I'm not really sure if boss death is a specific reference, but in this comic she's Lady Death, Queen of the Infinite Realms, and the first/most powerful spirit of death. Clockwork and that lot are her progeny, in a weird metaphysical way. I didn't use any other specific death figures from other pop culture as a reference for her. I was aiming for something that felt vaguely ancient Egyptian with a lot of grave goods. I specifically wanted to stay away from the hood and scythe because my thought was that those were representations of Clockwork.
