Deprivation the character is one of clockwork's "brothers", the super scrawny one with no mouth.

deprivation as a concept is not having things you need to live, like food or shelter or sleep. Deprivation's zone of influence would be people who die of things like thirst, starvation, drowning and suffocation, and exposure to the elements (so like freezing or heatstroke).

i haven't been thinking of it that way, but i guess there are a lot of fantasy-type elements!  the sort of main story line in my mind is set roughly around like...late roman empire/early middle ages, so that sort of stereotypical fantasy setting is kind of baked in.  other than large chunks being set in the past though i wasn't particularly thinking of it as any more fantastic than the original show but i can definitely see how it reads that way!
