So I had this dream, right? I hadn't watched the Series 5 trailer yet, and therefore because I'm crazy like this, I was dreaming I was watching it. I wasn't dreaming I was in Doctor Who, or even about watching Doctor Who, I was DREAMING ABOUT WATCHING A DOCTOR WHO TRAILER. Yes, my dreams are plenty pathetic.So, in the Series 5 trailer I was dreaming about, Eleven was basically totally fucking adorkable. And what was awesome about him was that he was basically a gadgeteer. He didn't actually like using his sonic screwdriver as much as digging out whatever he could find in his pockets and making little gadgets to help him out. Like MacGuyver with less hair and more whimsy; kind of like what the Baudelaires made in the Unfortunate Events. And he has this retracto-claw thing that he uses a lot and he basically keeps snapping it at Amy for the lulz, like using it as a mouth and stuff and it is totally epic and adorable and basically in my dream I was all "holy fucking shit i want this now."
And then I woke up. And the I watched the actual trailer.
FUCK YOU, DREAMWORLD IMAGINATION. YOU SET ME UP FOR DISAPPOINTMENT WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT, YOU DICK.
I drew this today, before I watched the trailer. I'm still disappointed.
Sorry for any mistakes, I didn't use references - just my memory of a few preview shots taken a few months ago. And sorry for the horrid quality, again. I lacks teh scannorz. Also I obviously have no idea how those rectracto claw things work.

Oddly enough I've been dreaming about watching each episode the night before each episode airs.
And even though I knew I was watching Victory of the Daleks in my dream, it had no Daleks, no Churchill... NOTHING RELATED.
And the Beast Below dream had nothing to do with anything that happened in the episode. Amy wasn't even there, it was a clone of Amy or something.
I also dreamt I was watching the trailer once, so I'm just letting you know that you are not alone in your weird dreamosity.

I first saw the trailer in 3D which also sets you up for disappointment. Doctor Who in 3D is about the only programme that could convince me 3D isn't just a gimmick.
I like the bad quality in this drawing though, I did a lot of monoprinting recently and this looks pretty similar.
I'm just about to watch the episode so fingers crossed...!

I don't think I've seen the trailer yet either, but from what I saw at the end of the last Tennant ep., the new Doctor seemed to be trying a little too hard to BE Tennant.
I have my fingers crossed for a good new series. I really do. I like the new logo a lot.
