just another vector i did, this time of a stock photo from .its not perfect by far, but i kinda like it. it was really hard.
*edit* added the flowers and necklace, fixed the shading on the cheek and around the eyes, added the highlight in the hair. *edit*
sorry if this has come up in people's devwatches again.. im just fixing some little things that started to bug me about this thing. 2/1/06

i tried a little bit of gradient mesh in one of my deviations, [link] , but overall im not a big fan of it.. i like vector because of the hard edges really, but i still have a lot of respect for people that can use it to make photo realistic stuff.

that's fair enough - I must admit when I started working with vectors I wasn't a huge fan - but I've been won over in recent times - keep up the great work regardless!

yah i know what you mean. when i was just starting to teach myself it was really counter intuitive, like "why the hell would anyone draw like this, its stupid!" but it becomes like 2nd nature in a way.
