So pixel art has always mystified me and my tablet is malfunctioning so frequently at the moment, full-scale digital painting is getting more and more difficult because I'm so reliant on pressure sensitivity for it. I thought I'd do something small and quick so I'm staying creative and try something new. So yeah, I present to you my first ever pixel art! Is she a sprite? Is she a doll? I don't really know anything about pixel art. But she was done pretty much entirely with a 1 pixel pencil on a 150 x 200 canvas (I did use my tablet) and took a couple of hours. It was really fun but really difficult! I'm totally in AWE of people who do whole pixelled scenes and ballgowns! Oh my god, I want to learn how to do those amazing pixelled ballgowns.So please give me your critiques and advice! I'd love to learn more about pixel art!

I'll admit that I don't know a lot about pixel art, but I do know what I like and I can definitely say that I think this looks very cute~! :3

Amazing work for a first time, and yes the patience needed for this kind of "paintings" in itself is amazing

It actually was quicker than I thought, even using a 1 pixel at a time pencil! But that's probably because I'm fortunate enough to have a tablet, crappy though it might be.

Very nice! All the experience I have with pixel art is making fake Pokemon trainer sprites, and that's difficult enough! I love that you put her in her season 0 outfit and everything, too~ For a first at pixel art, this is really impressive.

I actually can't do those XD Something about the art style and the little palettes. They're too hard. But yeah, this was fun and I thought season zero outfit because her personality in zero fit the pose I'd picked out for her more than DM does. Anyway, yeah, thanks!

It's really annoying, I was doing it 'cuz my friend and I were trying to make a fake Pokemon game... not sure what's gonna come of that. I totally see that, it definitely seems more season 0... well, I actually haven't seen much of season 0, but it invokes manga Anzu for me, so yeah xD Also I'm starting to work on your plushies, is there a specific date you need them by/want me to wait until before I ship them? I held off doing them because I knew they were a Christmas present and you wouldn't want them for a while...

Right?! I feel the same way about pixels and stuff. I think this looks really good, the shading is like perfect and you did amazing! Except well I think the skin could be a little lighter, in like the spirit of season zero when all of them except maybe Jou and Honda have like extremely white skin, also the face kinda blends in and doesn't really like stand out, do you know what I mean? I mean I'm of course not an expert or anything but that's my two cents;;
I'm working on your point commission btw! I'd get it out faster but I want it to look like perfect!

Yeah all the people who do the pageants and stuff? Amazing. Ohhh yeah XD yeah, you're right. Now I look at it she's a bit... pink XD Thanking you <3 I tried to tone down the super acidic colours on the uniform but the skin is too dark. The hands are just kind of meaty blobs, oh my god, hands are hard on this scale. They're hard anyway but this small they're like impossible. I've got the bug now and I want to try pixelling someone else while I wait for my wages to come in and it's NEW TABLET TIME XD

First? Oh wow this looks simply incredible, I've gotta say. You can see all the details clearly and there aren't any incredibly jagged bits at the curved parts which is great.
I think you've done really well here and what with your intrigue in the whole thing am looking forward to seeing potential future pieces of pixel art. Full scale custom pixel art is something I've not done myself before, as I feel I lack the skill for anything beyond editing. Tried one custom small sprite which looks alright but lacks arms XD

Yeah first try XD Thanks! I think it came out pretty well, all things considered. I'd like to do more pieces until I can afford to get a tabby with properly functioning pressure sensitivity again so yeah, I'll probably try more things. But you've been doing this stuff for years! You can do it, I'm sure <3
