Description
Okay folks...I needed to have this one done LAST NIGHT, but as you can tell I was falling asleep at the wheel. CURSE burning the candle at both ends.Anyhow, this man should need NO introduction, it's Sid Haig, otherwise known as Captain Spaulding from Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses. Yeah, nice colors...whimsical...yet...dark!

Damn...jealous. Rob always seemed like a really down to earth kind of guy. I'd love to pick his brain and have him do something for me, art-wise.

It is rather exstrordanary, since my Uncle is one of those... suit-and-tie, corporate worker guys.
It's pretty interesting and cool and stuff.

I knew exactly who it was right away. Very well done. You have such an eye for colour. Everything flows so well in your pictures and always draws the eye in.

Aww thanks, I can't take all the credit for it though...the source of inspiration is what makes it all possible in the end!

One step ahead of you...I read it earlier this morning. You look marvelous...and some nice shots with the cast of Ho1kC! I hear it was a shitty show, and probably a good indication that Boston won't be getting another. AND, I also hear noone visited the crew from Dawn of the Dead, sad considering it was their first showing. That doesn't bode well for future appearances by the gang now does it? SUCKY squared!!

I enjoyed this one, though it caused me MUCH pain. The colors are beautifully vibrant so I was happy with how those came out. I'd like to do another one of him. I dunno, I just enjoy these carnival colorings. They're so contrasty, opposing, yet mingling like some estranged lovers. Wow, hows that for a completely artsy overanalysis of color theory in a vector? Lord I'm a nerd!

bluewave In reply to SarshelYam [2004-10-10 16:30:12 +0000 UTC]
I totally understand what your saying those colours are very appealing just like love making. There is something about vector that feels very at home and comforting to me. the familiarity of the simple lines and colours.

Wow, I haven't heard of it expressed so vividly, as far as love making, comfort, and familiarity. I totally agree...perhaps it's the deliberate smoothness you can attain with vectors that make them soothing? Wow, what a powerful choice of words blue!

I've never seen or heard of that movie, but I'm really into carnival/circus/sideshow imagery...so I really like this a lot! Great colours! Just looking at the complexity of it & all the work it must have involved makes me go insane...

SarshelYam In reply to DigiPixie [2004-10-09 16:51:52 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, my eyes are a bit crossed...and I even cut some corners. This COULD be a lot better than it is...chalk it up to laziness and a due date/time that forced my procrastination to half-ass this one!
You should check out the movie. It's a little creepy, but Rob Zombie did an excellent job with the film. It did well enough that it will be getting sequel treatment so, well, that kind of an indication of how well it did!

DigiPixie In reply to SarshelYam [2004-10-13 09:14:57 +0000 UTC]
I'll certainly keep an eye out for the DVD!
I hate cutting corners...I always rush things half-arsedly when I get sick of them at the end & tell myself I can always go back & tweak later...but then I never do!
You can rest assured though, that any of the little things that might annoy you in your piece aren't evident to an objective observer!
