Happy soon to be Halloween!The Spirit of Halloween is having trouble choosing the greatest pumpkin for her tricked out home in faerie land
I loved drawing pictures like this when I was a kid, for the holiday, so it's been a trip down memory lane doing this one

I'm not at all a religious person, but I still marvel at the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel! I had to view it from several different angles to make sure that what I was seeing WASN'T bas relief - Michaelangelo's shading was impeccable!

The chapel was beautiful... I really loved Italy so much. I think my favourite part of the Vatican was that room filled with sculptures of animals. Our guide said that there was a pope who wanted to recreate the pairs of animals on Noah's ship...

Yes, the Vatican museums are among the best in the world. I spent hours gawing at paintings I'd only dreamed of seeing.
As I said, I'm not at all religious and the story of Noah is one I've scoffed at since I was a kid. There is NO WAY I could believe that a man got a matched pair of every single reptile, mammal, arachnid, mold, bacteria and virus on a love cruise for 40 days.
