Thank you : ) I started doing the drawing in greyscale and then adding colors with colors in 'Hue' mode. It speeds up the coloring a lot.

BTW, how are doing hun? I haven't talked with you for a while. I hope you're doing awesome :3

so you just pick out colors and lay them down on one layer with its mode set to "hue"?
I should really try that sometime! (cause in the past, I used the "color" mode, but it made the colors look kind of "dirty". D: )

I usually put the basic colors in 'color' mode. But this usually looks all flat--especially with skin... I think this is because it just colors in a gradient from the color you use to black, which is dull looking. So I use 'hue' on top of these 'color' layers to change the hue of the shadows and highlights. Usually I'll change it so the shadows are bluer, and the part lit is more yellow. You can use the 'color' mode for the same effect but it seems a bit more harsh to me.

LOL. I dunno, I feel like I didn't get on the internet at all this summer D: I hope you have an awesome time at your new school! Mm, I'm doing well; I'm still looking for more steady work, instead of freelance stuff, but I have a couple of leads so I'm hopeful. : )
