Aww. Despite the apparent angst, they're still complete and total eye-candy. *hugs them both...and backs away slowly* <3 I love RK's posing, you can just see the emotion coming to the surface. The unusual grey shading on him [you seem to usually sway towards purple shading with RK?] also brings the melancholy out. Metal's pose is pretty expressive as well, although you can tell he's attempting to control the feeling...which is completely accurate for most of the Metals I've seen [I'm assuming this applies to yours as well]. Additionally, that alternative outfit on Taru looks quite neat, I like the fact that it has more red in it than one usually sees. : D Umm...and the positioning of RK's hand really catches my eye, that reinforces the whole 'emotion' thing. The simple background is very effective as well, it isn't distracting yet it adds something to the image. You did a very nice job with this. <3 RK/Metal angst always kind of gets brownie points with me, it's interesting. Keep up the good work, too

This is a lovely piece. Love the stark contrast you have cast between their personalities gives them much depth rather than seeming to be of the same cardboard cloth. Something tells me that RK depends upon Metal for a lot of emotional support.

I hadn't thought of it like that, but I don't think you're far off the mark~
Metal is a major stabilizer for RK. Whenever RK has a problem of some sort, Metal is there to help, even though there are times he's been reluctant (such as after they became fleshies: Metal [kind of irrationally] blamed RK for it. Also, Metal expired and was revived again as a robot and resented RK after that [jealousy? disagreeing with Arkay's choice to remain fleshie? who knows

They look pretty though, even if they're sad.
Love the contrast between them - since you use a good range of emotions to describe RK visually but for the oppostite effect you keep Metal looking rightfully stoic - even when he's upset. Outfit for Metal is different to the ones I've seen before, and very lovely.
