Description This is one of my final pieces for my art folio.

i wanted to draw as many Australian parrots as i could in one image without them looking hectic. i believe i have achieved this and am very pleased with the results. i think with out the added flora the image would appear rather cold - it would look as if something is missing. the flora seems to fill in and blend the birds together.

A2 piece of paper - watercolour paints

You need to do South American Parrots next, I used to have this one [link] and the mutations of them are so fun to look at!

i love the pale headed rosella and the princess parrot popping out the corner there, i like all of it actually, i find it hard to draw a crowded mob of things together, u managed to do a good job

Gahh this is just stunning. I am obsessed with birds, especially parrots & cockatoos, so this makes me happy

I feel quite proud I can successfully name all of these, except for the pale-headed rosella? in the middle I'm not 100% about. I recognise the red-tail - we're getting one of those very soon

No sulphur-crested I see They're probably one of the most recognised Australian cockies. I do, however, like that you've included the rarely seen but beautiful princess parrot, along with the blue bonnets, red-winged and regent parrots.

Adding to my faves! Sorry for such a long comment.

Thank you very much Jess, that's cool i love long comments, in fact I'm gonna leave a long reply.

That Rosella your not 100% about is the yellow or blue-cheeked Rosella and the other one is the Adelaide Rosella but I'm sure you new that lol.

Yeah i did not add a sulfur-crested in because i wanted to portray more of the lesser known species. Damn i thought that picture was so good when i first drew it but now i think its absolute pox. It was barley any detail at all. In my drawings i try to create the birds so look as realistic as possible. So that is why i am getting into taxidermy because you can't get any more realistic than the real thing.

thank you for the comment and the fave, very much appreciated. Pop in and talk parrot with me any day. i think your that only person on deviant who has a researched knowledge on parrots and cockatoos i have found lol. cheers

The two Rosella's are my favorite in the whole drawing. Yeah i love Galahs but for some reason i have never ever drawn one. If you love Galahs you should see the two Galahs i taxidermyed.

well about that, at first i thought it would look awesome but in the end i believe it would become way too crowded.

Simply Stunning....
What kind of Black Cockatoo is the one you have drawn? Is it a Yellow Tail or maybe a White Tail?
I was just wondering, we have a Red Tailed Black Cockatoo.

I'm getting out of words how to say: it's so beautiful! Your drawings not just pictures; I can see the nature and the life in it.

The birds are the lords of the endless sky, and you are the Master who perpetuate them.

so did i. I'm getting very good at my identification skills.

when i got home i realized that they did not have at least 15 of the Australian parrots. They did not even have a Palm Cockatoo. Ben has more of a collection lol

wow man. That is amazing! The bright multitude of colours are clearly highlights to this overall brilliant peice of work. It's like a rainbow of birds, It looks huge. I can see why this took you so long to finish. It would take me forever to do something like this.

Keep up the good work Tim, hope to see more soon.
