Window borders doesn't work for me, I'm using Linux Mint 17 Mate, I've pasted the folders Numix and Numix Dark inside /usr/share/themes/ and rebooted the machine, still the borders didn't show up in the customization menu, the icons and theme colors r working.

Any idea why my title color in xfce4 is red? I've been looking at screenshots from other users and I believe that's not how the theme was designed (please correct me if wrong).
I'd prefer a darker title bar color.
Using gtk 3.12 and xfce4

Thank you!
P.S. I assume there's something incompatible (maybe because of the gtk+ version?) since this is probably buggy behavior:

Great Theme, well made,Β it is my #1 go to theme.
It is a must have for anyone running Linux (Ubuntu, Mint, Zorin ect.)
However the current icons that come with it I am not a big fan of, I just use Numix Circle instead.

Perhaps you installed under ~/.themes ? For the window theme to work, install under ~/.local/share/.themes (GTK2 theme won't work) or /usr/share/themes (everything will work).

No, IΒ΄ve installed it to /usr/share/themes .
IΒ΄ve deleted the old version, installed the new one (2.3), updated Gnome Shell and restarted GS. I will try older version of Numix if it works.

Dear Satya:
I've been a Numix user since a long time ago, and it is simply the best... My problem starts with Ubuntu 14.04, I have tried to do the same magic I did before, over and over again and I cannot manage to make it borderless, besides shadows looks ugly, is thee a way to solve or tweak this?
Thanks in advance

Hey, first of all I want to say: I love Numix!
On my Ubuntu it worked very well. But on my Debian it is drivin me crazy. I have the following Problem: On some windows the font is appearing just in white color, while the background of the window is grey (light), so i just can't read what is written there... I am on Wheezy 7.6 and Gnome 3.4, GTK 3.4.2-7 - installed it on ~/.themes. Any suggestions on how I can fix that? Thanks in advance!
P.s. Here comes a Link that shows such a window: lh5.googleusercontent.com/-iuBβ¦

Sure. Did you try changing permissions?
Also, if it doesn't work for some reason, try installing it under ~/.themes/ with a symlink to it unde ~/.local/share/themesΒ

HiΒ satya164,
I love numix theme but I have minor issue, I don't like the dark color of active windows in my xfce panel and the dark color of active desktop name in xfce panel, I like those to be orange (#d64937) similar to this tint2 panel: www.deviantart.com/art/Numix-t⦠.
In order to do this I tried to modify the theme by changing its color preference. I was messing with bg[Active], fg[Active]... under panel section but the point is that whatever I change int gtk2.rc I end up with completely broken skin.
Could you help me to achieve this?
Here is a screenshot of what exactly want I want to achieve:Β postimg.org/image/i1w74kwll/fuβ¦
