If you saw the drama you should go to your group QUICK. go to admin area and make sure to edit all the higher roles permission so outsiders can't join. The error is a hole in eclipse's coding which allows ANYONE to join as co-founder !Related content

Strangely I only had this on founder, but not on co-founder, admin and contributers which all had it still as "not allowed" but thank you for the warning, I have changed it now in my group.

DA groups aren't getting hacked..But they are being trashed around. If you didn't know, now you now. People can become a co-founder, moderator, etc, within groups. People are taking advantage of the issue, and ripping apart coding and removing admin/mod teams from various groups. This isn't affecting all groups. Because there's an easy fix involved, that most people have already done.
Firstly, this ongoing issue is not a hack. It is not an exploit, and it's certainly not some back-door method of hijacking a group. This isn't some syfy movie. We're on deviantart. Deviantart has hardly (if ever) seen an actual hacker bothering people on here. That being said I don't think it's a glitch either. Since it's an option that's always been there, I don't think it has anything to do with updates pushed because of Eclipse. Basically, this entire issue is because of oversight when setting up your deviantart groups.Β
