Artist's Notes: A commission done for . Here are some of the, mostly, saltwater varieties of albuliformes of Great Lakes Earth. From left to right, top to bottom they are:

Kosmoclisz, Behemoth Smokow, Bonelance, Landlubber, Voidgazer, Silent Howler Banshee, Solomon's Bone Eel, Chaugnar Bone Eel, Blind Kosmoc, Stygian Wall Kosmoc, Daggerback, Liszlight

These varieties shown here are far more divergent than those of the last submission and thus have many unique adaptations to fill different roles in their ecosystems. For example the Chaugnar Bone Eel, the Blind Kosmoc and the Stygian Wall Kosmoc have all adapted to deep coastal caves in their own ways developing sensory trunks, blindness and the ability to climb up waterfalls respectively. The Liszlight and the Kosmoclisz appear to have some poorly understood symbiosis as schools of the former have been seen accompanying the otherwise solitary larger fish. It is speculated that the smaller bioluminescent fish attract prey to the Kosmoclisz and the larger fish passively provides protection and whatever scraps fall from its mouth as it messily devours its prey. Landlubbers are interesting for their ability to spend some time on land, breathing the air with their modified swim bladder which is possessed by even our albuliformes on Earth. They do not spend very long on land, mainly climbing to shore to lay their eggs, like our grunions, and to temporarily evade predators although this tactic is useless against the lungsharks of Great Lakes Earth.
