Dates: 8/26/21-9/1/21 (Took 4 days)Artist's Notes: Another Commission done for . These are the huldras which are among the largest aquatic plants on Great Lakes Earth. From left to right top to bottom they are:
Ivory Tower: based on wizard towers, trumpet flowers, and datura
Staff of Set: based on the Ring of Set from the Conan story the Phoenix on the Blade, the Serpent Staff from Hexen, and the emblem of Thulsa Doom in Conan the Barbarian
Undershadow: creates shade to attract fish to pollinate its flowers, based on the canopy hunting method of the black heron, the giant mushrooms from Journey to the Center of the Earth, and the strange plant life said to grow int he Land of Awful Shadow in the Pellucidar series
Pseudobennettitales: based on Mesozoic cycadeoids which are thought to produce flowers or at least organs similar to flowers
Tentaclus: based on the tentacles of the Sea God in Berserk and the Tentaclus from Dungeon Meshi
Gallows Pole: made to resemble a hanging man
