Artist's Notes: I'm surprised I haven't drawn Spiclypeus yet. I remember being really into it when it was first discovered. If you look at some of the earlier drawings in my gallery you can see that it was a big influence on the imaginary ceratopsians I drew back then. It's name, which means "spiked shield", is one of the cooler scientific names and its frill is so unique among ceratopsians with the folded over "clip board" at the top. The original specimen contained interesting pathologies with both the frill and left humerus being infected either by injury or disease. It feels good to draw a ceratopsian again.
