Well, I'm pretty psyched up for Metroid: Other M right now. So, I decided to paint a picture of Samus in the Other M incarnation of her power suit. I did take some liberties with it, because I couldn't exactly tell what a lot of the details were just from watching the trailer.I had fun with this, and even though it's not perfect, I feel like I should stop here. One of my problems is going back and trying to fix stuff, only to make it worse.
And for those of you wondering why there's the red/yellow glare on her armor, I was kind of picturing her facing an explosion in my head, because I needed another light source.
Also, the background is crap because I'm crap at backgrounds. Go figure
Metroid and all related characters are owned by Nintendo, not me. I'm just a lowly Metroid fanboy.

Curious, where did you find good stills of the trailer? I could only find a handful, so I paused a youtube vid (with those stupid tiny windows that don't let you see good detail grrr) and made a stick-fig of the pose.
Finding good stills of this trailer would have made the armor design so much easier to figure out XD

Nice use of what I'm thinkin' was the blend tool. I think it turned out pretty fan-freakin'-tastic :3

First it was just the paintbrush, base colors and all that. Then I airbrushed it to hell. Then I smudged it back from hell, and airbrushed it back again. Then I got lazy and didn't smudge as much towards the end
