Description This is how I made my Journey fan art "The Road of Trials" [link] .
Not really sure I would consider this to be a tutorial, i use a lot of Photoshop jargon without explaining it, but hopefully you'll find it
helpful, or at least, interesting. Also, please overlook any horrible grammar, i'm not a very good writer

how did you do the glowing sand effect? it was really hard to do !

Yeah, it took me forever to get it right, and I'm still not 100% satisfied with it. Watch this video ctrlpaint.com/videos/glossines... . The guy in the video isn't painting sparkly sand, but what he does gets a similar (and better IMO) result, and he explains it a lot better than i did. All i really did differently was i used different layer styles, because i was just making it up as i went, and i copied the sparkle layer and added a blur to it to make the individual sparkles glow. I hope that all makes sense, and I hope it helps.
