Description
While this review was really irritating to sit through, the last few minutes offended me:"People like to laugh, to think, and even be scared, but no one anywhere likes to be disgusted!"
Who gives you the right to say what people actually enjoy? There's a reason why Drawn Together had an audience. I understand why some people would dislike "Drawn Together". It's a show that's not for everyone. However, its raunchy theme is SUBJECTIVE, meaning while some people will be disgusted, others will find the humor to be amusing. You can say those people have bad taste if you want, but Drawn Together is a comedy show, no matter how you think it works for yourself.
"There are rules to comedy, and if you fail at reaching then, then your comedy will fail!"
NO. There are no rules to comedy. Even the simplest things can make someone laugh. Once again, comedy is subjective. What may not work for you, can work for others. No one thinks the same way.
I... I lost respect for this individual. People, enjoy what you want. I understand that there will be people who won't like something, but there's no rule book that says a cartoon CAN'T be raunchy just for the sake of being edgy.
Oh, and by the way, her name is "Toot", not "toots". It's called simple researching on Wikipedia.
EDIT: Wow, this definitely became a controversial deviation. Just to let you know, even after what I say here, I don't hate him as a person, and I never will. I just found this review to have plenty of flaws. I did agree with him on the animation though. If you still enjoy his content and agree with the review, that's fine! We all have different tastes, that was the point of making this whole thing.

This is kind of a dumb thing to get offended over. He has said worse, even in this review. And while there is no rule saying you can't be raunchy for hte sake of...it's a typically frowned upon, especially given how egoistical this movie is and stuff.

Did you watch the movie for yourself, or are you only taking his words for it? It doesn't matter if it's typically frowned upon or not. All of this is going to be subjective no matter what. Some people do like to be disgusted, and some people laugh at raunchy things. To say that no one will find it funny, and that a cartoon being raunchy for the sake of it shouldn't be made, is pretty ignorant.

I don't think it's fair/smart to say you should be allowed to throw any crappy comedy at the wall and put no effort into it, just cuz SOMEONE will find it ufnny. It's thinking like that which kept Friedberg and Seltzer in business. ...And okay, i have not seen the movie, but i was mostly just saying, you know?

I get what your saying. You're free to disagree with me, but my main point is that if somebody finds something crappy in a comedy, that doesn't mean everyone will think the same way, whether something is generally disliked or not. People have guilty pleasures.

Like what I said before:
If you are dividing humor by thinking which is smart and which is stupid instead of basically knowing the actual nonsubjective categories of black, gallows, and other styles of humor... you are all bunch of idiots who tries to look like you are a smart cartoon watcher when you are just a lousy hipster.

I honestly did try to watch it...I got grossed out in the first 10 minutes and quit because I couldn't get through it ;;; I can handle Family guy or South Park...BUT this movie took the humor a bit too far in my opinion.

Hey, it's your opinion, that's fine.
And some parts of the review, I did agree with (like the animation being stilted at times). I don't completely hate the review entirely, but the last few minutes were the most irritating for me personally.

Just making sure that's gotten across ;; Since people are throwing around insults at the guy for just not liking a bad movie and saying subjective stuff ;;;
As I said, I do like Drawn Together. Mainly the first season, as I lost interest during the middle of season 2 and when I saw the film was made, I did get curious and decide to see it...and I did leave it at that so I wasn't sure what happened after the first ten minutes ;;; So the revie was literally the first time I saw anything about the rest of the film ;;; and I do agree with him with the comedy bit ;;; I am not saying there are RULES to comedy, I am just saying that there are ways to go about it ;;; There are all kidns of humor out there, but it's how it's executed. If the humor is well done, then it can be very enjoyable. If not, than it's NOT gonna be enjoyed all that much. AS you said, Comedy is subjective, but if the majority says it's not funny, than it's gonna be considered 'not funny'. There ARE jokes that can go too far into senstitivies and that is something some comedians are aware of. They just have to make it known that they don't really MEAN it, as in, satirical in a way to show that the creators don't really FEEL this way, it's meant to be a joke (Something the show staff did a good job on with drawn Together in my opinion)
This part here is more towards the people who are calling him by bad names and stuff like that (As in you ScoBionicle, you are not the target for this next sentence): I can understand you not fully agreeing with him, but remember that this is about the MOVIE, not the SHOW.

And even I don't find Drawn Together to be that spectacular myself. I do like watching it, and overall I feel it's a decent series that makes me laugh at times. The movie was just okay. While it did have some funny scenes in there as well (in my opinion), at worst it was just a bit boring. It didn't make me cringe that much, but I can say that some scenes didn't make me smile.
That point I agree with too, and Drawn Together has satire in it as well, so that's why people shouldn't even take the show super seriously.

Here;s something that helped me know tha they were likely not being serious:
There are a lot of anti-sestimate jokes (aka jokes about Jews)...and the creators of the show WERE jewish themselves, as was the person speaking a lot of the lines, Tara Strong. SO that helped a bit show that they weren't being serious with those jokes. ;;;

They didn't really advertise their religion but yeah, also another thing that helped is that the target for the African-American and Gay jokes (Foxy and Xander) tend to be the most useful in a situation when it calls for it as Foxy is intelligent and Xander is sometimes capable of actually helping when they don't try to make him out to be a wuss (Plus he's actually one of the nice guys)
as I am saying this, I have not seen the whole series ;;;

Hmm...well, the movie itself IS at 50% on Rotten Tomatoes ;;; Maybe me and Enter are on the side that find it bad (ake half of the critics) while you're on the other half? Maybe that's how it is? ;;; Who knows
Fair point there. But even satire can rub people the wrong way if they aren't always clear if they are just kidding around or actually mean what they are saying (given how people can't always tell if someone is being actualy racist or sexist is a big sign that people can't always tell if people using satire are serious in their mindsets or not). Some people are habitually more senstive than others and even then, Mister enter usually knows his stuff when it comes to certain things. While we don't always have to agree with him, he does bring up good points in his Animated ATtrocities reviews. ;; And there are those who take a LOT of different things seriously, let us be honest ;;; For example, there are people who take comics very seriously. Or Video games. Or literature. Or anything in life really. It's because they are passionate about it and they try to get into that field because they enjoy it. It's kinda why I enjoy watching him as I do tend to agree wtih his views. Mind you I don't have the same extreme anger (though we are both on the autistic spectrum, so that kinda helps too ; so there is stuff like that ;;;

Eyep XP But as I said, I DO enjoy the show...but that don't mean I enjoy the movie ;;; And that's kinda why I took into account that he was looking at the movie by it's own merits. Since if this was something that he found was wrong with the show? I can understand that, but this movie isn't exactly a good representation of the series in my opinion ;;;;
But in all, I still watch him anyway so thanks for understanding that
But yeah, I am serious with the thing I said about how I can kinda tell they don't always mean it when they say some things (Their most useful character is someone that is usually the target for African American jokes and the anti-sestimate humor is said by a Jewish woman and created by two jewish men ;;

Also, am I the only one who thinks he's hypocritical for having "keep moving forward" as his motto, considering how he's always whining about wanting Nick, TTG, and Family Guy to die?

Good to know. I remember when I felt completely alone in my dislike of Enter, and it felt like everyone was against me.
Also, Return of Slade, as much of a dick move it was on the writers' part, at least had a good message he needs to get through his skull: grow up and accept that something was made with a specific audience in mind.

Yes, I'll admit it, I'm really having a hard time getting through Enter's reviews these days. And his fan brats really don't help.
And to be perfectly honest, despite what Enter and the comments under the review say, I was'nt disgusted by the movie, (well, except for the part with the kitties and puppies...) quite the opposite in fact. It's actually made me want go check it out for myself.

I get it was a spoof and all but god damn the movie and the show I am sorta amazed this got it's green light after it pilot episode was over.
