I genuinely enjoyed the live action Scooby Doo movie...Besides, it gave us the debut of Matthew Lillard!!

Β Β Ah, yes. Scooby-Doo: The Movie. It's the first movie I saw in theaters, and I still love it today. Can't say the same for the sequel though. Watched it on TV... just, no. Great art BTW.

I saw the movie too, and it wasn't that bad, since I was a big fan of the cartoon. This picture is worth the effort. Not bad.

Well, I too liked the film, but then stopped liking that I did not like the idea of turning Scrappy in the villain. I know many hate him because their appearance in the cartoon was pure filler, but for me that character always made me laugh.

CGI hasn't held up that well and I could've went without some of the innuendo and fart jokes, but yeah it's still a pretty cool film. I'm more fond of the second one though.

I actually read that the film was originally going to be a PG13 film based off of the jokes that were made constantly about Scooby Doo in the past(e.g Velma and Daphne being secretly lesbains, and shaggy being a stoner) but nothing came out of that since WB didn't really like that idea for a film since it was going in a different direction. Still, this is pretty nice even though I'm done with scooby doo.Β

Thanks, and I would have liked to see how the original idea would have been done. Also fun fact, Warner Bros is working on another movie released in 2018, but animated this time.

It wouldn't have the scooby doo name in the title if WB ended up making a parody of it altogether if they went with that direction. Lord knows the last thing they need is a series of complaints from the parents if they were dumb enough to complain to WB that they made Scooby doo 'dirty' with a parody film. Oh yeah, I've heard about the news on that one. One of the people who worked on the tom and jerry direct to video movies is going to be in charge of it. Although. I'm not holding my breathe on it being good since Scooby doo follows the same formula it always has since the beginning.Β

You do have a point there. Aside from the new film (I don't care about the DVD films that come out every year), the other thing I'm looking forward to is Be Cool, Scooby Doo. I'm skeptical on it, and a lot of people don't like the art style, but it won't hurt me to try.
