This is a new series that I'm trying out. It's basically my way of trying to turn a train wreck of a movie into something decent or great. The first edition of this series will be dealing with Ghostbusters (2016). To start off this movie was doomed from the beginning. The cast and the way they marketed the movie was horrendous. So I'll be dividing up the movie into steps.

1. Change the cast : Now, it is possible to do an all female cast of Ghostbusters but the people you need to pick the right cast. Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon were bland and completely forgettable. Melissa McCarthy is not funny at all and her purpose was really just a hey I'm the fat character so lets make jokes about my weight. However the worst was Leslie Jones. This woman needs to stay away from the movie industry forever. Her role is the stereotypical black woman who has to act from the hood. She's god awful and the main reason I didn't see this movie in cinema. (Eventually I watched in on the internet). Changing the four females leads is a must. I'd put Emma Watson, Emma Stone, Anna Kendrick and Jennifer Lawrence instead. All four have proven their comedic value and could represent each of the characters well.

2. Get rid of the feminism AKA Ihatemenisim : This was how the movie was marketed as a big feminist jerk off. Every male character in the movie is portrayed as an asshole or an idiot. Stop, get some help. You brand this as a Ghostbusters movie, not a feminist movie. You can't expect someone to go to an event where they will just be shamed and berated.

3. Use what you already have to form your plot : There are two good movies, great comics and good TV shows. Use them and take bits and pieces from them to create your own plot. You can have some throwbacks to the older movies which gives the fans nostalgia and allows them to enjoy the movie a lot more. Use your imagination and go wild, as long as it makes sense.

4. Change the ending : The ending seriously needed to change. Shooting the male villain in the dick to defeat him. Refer to step two on why this is stupid. You can have the male villain as a asshole as long as he's the only asshole in the movie. Just shoot him in the head, a torso, anywhere but the fucking dick. if he gains powers and turns into the stay puff marshmallow man then simply recreate the scene from the first movie, simple.

5. Edit parts of the comedy : There's very little good comedy in this movie. Just study the first movie and how they used it's comedy to perfection. Use that as inspiration for comedy. Show the cast the script and allow them to put comedic lines in. They know comedy and can make it work.

Anyways that's how I'd try to save Ghostbusters (2016) and turn the movie into a good or decent movie. Leave your thoughts on my piece and feel free to possibly suggest another edition of this new series.
