The companion piece to: HalladolionI hadn't intended on painting this when I first drew up what Hal may have looked like as an elf, but as time went by and I needed something to do to get me out of a bad art block, I decided to give it a go. Been trying out my hand at a new technique and I think I'm liking it thus far. Least for softer images.

You got Hall so perfectly I can't even tell you! He's so beautiful. It makes me want to write a story about him before he was changed

Hmm. I love everything about the pic but the overwide mouth, which makes it look a little too Disney for high fantasy.
Real human mouths are about two eyes wide, which mean they're not usually much further out than the pupil of each eye if the character was looking forward.
Other than that, this is gorgeous and a wonderful contrast to his later form.
