Compare to then, I use cleaner linework then flat colo  before getting to something like in step 4-5.

I just into sketch up, the human characters do come in handy. I'm a 3d modeler but sketch up I find is pretty damn fast for a basic layout. Its cool to see someone else using it.

yea, its a time saver. WEll, as long as you dont end up doing the entire setup in 3d.

Its also practical for comics, where you need you elements to be consistent in a given environements.
