This kills. Of all your pieces this expresses genuine depth. The lighting on the gears is sex. I'm back btw.

Awesome piece, the accompanying text makes it even more powerful. This has some really interesting lighting, too.

I'm having trouble finding words to properly gauge what I'm feeling with this one - help me out here? I mean, I could just throw my usual and oh-so-stale "Awesome" and "Excellent" but...
...you sir, have transcended the English language, or atleast my skills with it.
I'll settle with giving you a hearty "Chqussaragathhhh!" which hopefully means something very positive on a planet or alternate dimension out there.

apparently the clock is fueled by disposed teddy bears
the composition is rich!
i love the overall vintage tone, which adds to the sense of timeless-ness to
the subject appropiately. the bold contrast of the lighting brings out the implied
figure, yet keeps it vague and ominious, when enveloped by the background.
the parallel or symmetrical design is fitting for the theme of a clock as well, great stuff as expected!

Hey ScabbedAngel,
It's been awhile man. Good to see more work from you. Always digged your stuff. Those bright red tones are killer. I might say it's one of the most intense pieces I've seen you. Great work!

Kickass. Love the highlights on the gears. Subtlety is key, my friend! It's good not to throw the fact that there are gears there in our faces...Moreso, eeeeeaaaseee it into our consciousness. And...you did that. So, good for you!
Wonder why there are teddies there though. Perhaps you could explain.

The title of the piece is inspired by a saying of my Dear Departed Grandmother. Another was "The Road to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions". She was a devout Catholic, you see.
This was an alternative to the "No Religion" piece when I was unable to think of a more creative way to do that one. OMA felt this one would be too dark for a t-shirt design so I ran with it. It's has a little more depth than my usual zombies killing things and dark evil men in the shadows stuff. As a born and raised Catholic, (non-practicing since my mother decided the Church may not appreciate my dyed red hair at age 15) I was horrified to my soul at the massive coverup of sexual molestation on part of the Church, and felt if there were a better idea to denounce the aspects of religion, there would be no better grounds than that.
Priests are the image of trust and safety in the eyes of children and take upon themselves the mantel of God to their congregation. Jesus, according to the Bible had no greater love for anyone that children. That horrifyingly evil sons of bitches would take these reins to take advantage of that trust and use it to the absolutely most perverse and disgusting degree is the mock God in the highest degree. I feel that their place in Hell will be the most painful.
So this is the concept behind this piece. After all the innocence that has been destroyed, there will be no end to their suffering. There pain will continue forever and ever.
Wow, I wrote a book!

my god... did you ever get your concept perfectly in this piece.
I was not born and raised Catholic, (more like Jehovah's Witness which I am not nor have I been since 15 as well) but I have such a deep appreciation for those who can depict the absolute depravity of organized religion - more so the horrible things that they do to children.
These priests ... I cannot even place into words what their actions with these children do to me. how the Catholic church is still standing is beyond me to say the least. That is the most perverse thing that could ever happen inside of a religion, and then to cover it up as if nothing ever happened...
anyhow, great piece- and if there is a hell I would hope that they do hold the absolute most painful place therein it.

Pardon my grammatical errors. For an artist, drinking is an occupational hazard.
