blinded by the light
now i'm afraid i'm
fading out of sight'

Sorry for the absence. More to come.

Btw, if you have the time, since this is abstract, tell me what you see. Or what you feel?

...SOMETHINS MISSING.

THE "OBJECTS" THAT WERE ONCE THERE ARE NOW GONE... LOST? STOLEN?

WHAT ONCE WAS IS NO MORE.

I LIKE THIS PIECE.

A field of dirty white crosses that hit me as a representation of corrupted spirituality, and also the horror of glorifying death. White crosses are often used to mark the graves of soldiers. The blood splats seem to hint at all the violence and death that comes from religion as well.

I probably have tunnel vision though. I see that in a lot of things these days.

I see a heart. An aching heart, lost -- lost somewhere where everyone is trying to cover something up. Be it love, hate, thoughts, feelings, lies, truth....
I feel lonely... and sad.

I for some reason think that you should do something based on "fear and los vegas".
I have a feeling that you would be one of the few people capable of capturing its overall feel.
Most people get so caught up in it being a "stoner movie" that they completely miss the deep, bleak philosophical aspect of it.

Ofcoarse this could just be my recently developed Hunter S. Thompson obsession talking, the more I learn about him the more fascinated I am.

i love the gritty look. you can kindof see the outline of a heart within the mass of white. creates a great contrast between the blood and the darkness.

it reminds me of bandages but they seem to fail to cover up 2 very deep wounds and if u look in the top right almost middle u can kinda see a skull as tho anger or mourning of a death its almost like its full of hate or sadness i cant quite distinguish which. but none the less fuckin awsome peice of art man

I may actually consider painting a wall in my room like that.
I get a sort of anxious feeling looking at it. Like theyre was a hole in the wall and someone has made a desperate attemp to patch it up in order to hide something shameful thats hidden on the other side but the whole while that thing is continually scratching away at the new plaster makeing the efforts to hide it futile and its revelation ineviatable....but maybe thats just me.

I see crowds of ghosts. I see wounds and decay, but more just agedness. It looks old and sorrowful but strong because of the pain.

On a different level, it reminds me of the sense of the faceless, overwhelming legion that haunts those with crowd anxiety. Almost the sense of seeing a parade of reveling wraiths approaching, and having no way to escape being surrounded and hemmed in.

I think this is absolutely beautiful, one of my favorite abstract paintings I have seen on deviantart. *applause* I will also add, and I mean this as high praise, that it looks like something I would consider for an album cover.

I look forward to seeing more in the future. Wonderful work as usual.

I almost fancy that I see a face toward the middle...

Well, I hate doing this, but... I'm going to compare it to Silent Hill. I know. Sorry if that sounds like an insult. But I get a feeling when I look at this as though I'm watching the game: a sense of emptiness, but with the foreboding of danger with the bloodstains. There is abandonment described in the grunge-like texture of the background, as though no one has cared to visit in years. Perhaps there was a reason... Perhaps there is a mystery involving danger here.

Yes, it sounds all too much like I'm thinking heavily about the video game. My apologies.

the texture is great as always!

the way the figures are placed, give it that cubism style, yet the proxmity of the overlapping crowd, adds a sense of anxiety and aggitation.

the white figures, give a stark, melchanoly contrast with the background, which makes it seem almost suspended in mid-air from the rest of the piece.

very errie and ominious indeed

Awesome piece...

...It seems to me like the bandages are trying to hide something or stop something from getting loose, as if it could hurt you or the rest of the world. But it's all dark and decayed looking because holding the "thing" back or shielding it is causing a lot of misery and pain........But that's just how I see it.

MoonWolfGirl [2007-10-08 17:01:57 +0000 UTC]

The bandages look like a white heart to me aand there is a red stain that looks like a broken heart made by blood. Lovely work Far more original than the stuff I see in my Art History class.

In a strange way, it makes me think of dark secrets. Things nobody ever wants to have discovered, but it still bleeds through and all-around there's an air of wrongness.

I dig your abstract work. Right up my alley.
