Description
I took a short break to practice my pencils, recently been doing characters wif suits and clothes for work so didnt really had much chance to draw any tough characters like wolverine etcs lol. Anyway i had a great urge to draw him last week then added abit of colors at the same time hopefully u guys would like his claws too !Heard there is a movie of Wolverine in the making or sumting, im seriously looking forward to that !

Thanks! Do you have a wacom tablet? practise in PS and observe how colors works in magazines and even comics . Sometimes its hard to example exactly how to paint lol ,pple used to tell me tis when i ask ard too. Tips would be reading more magazines and practise on them again and again till there's improvement

Haha thanks pal, im glad to hear that. Wow my mind is getting really exhasted now , but i think i could do better if i push myself harder again. I'll be back wif CH in a few days time , just hve to finish one thing at the time if not nothing is going to be done lol. Help me inform Tom if u could, since his internet connections is bad.

woah, wolverine's awesome... the muscles look big, and they really add to the power of the character (which marvel character isn't powerful with muscles, ha ha)
i'm not too sure of myself, but somehow, the waist itself seems quite small, the muscles seem to be bigger on the top with a v-shaped bodyframe.
that means the the center of gravity of the hero is higher, nearer to his upper torso - i did wonder if the character himself is able to balance, perphaps that could be due to different perspectives

this has gotta be one of the best pictures ever!!! seriously love it! If you gotta minute, could you just note me your work process on this pic? im guessing you started off in red pencil, with some basic shadows? then into PS or what? i wanna try out your style!!

thanks! as for the process, i didnt use red pencils but just normal 6B pencil to pencil him. Process would be, Sketch, tighten up the lines, add basic shadows like u mentioned then PS to adjust the brightness & contrast and i adjusted the Color balance under image to my own liking. Lastly i paint it in PS then
PS : you could do the red/blue/green pencils for sketching then finish it wif a normal pencils , its a good way to sketch and i do that sometimes when im not familiar wif anyting.

Cool, thanks for the acvice. I find usually that another colour helps me to grasp the rough shape and then i can feel more confident to go over it in a black or biro. Do you always use reference?
