Description
Dormice and field mice around my parents' country home use whatever plastic scraps they can get their tiny paws on to line up their nests for insulation. It's odd to think they consider the scraps just another resource.

Not yet, just slumbering in spring. For hibernation she'd likely roll up in a blanket too.

He looks so comfortable in there. I would love to be at his place instead to go to factory during freezing winter xD
Beautiful work

What you see in the drawing is just a cross-section of the ground, there's the dark opening behind her leading to other parts of the den.

Interesting but not unusual. Many animals use scrap and junk for many things. From some animals using brightly colored or shiny objects to attract a mate to some using bottles or jugs as homes or nests. One creatures trash is another one's treasure.
