Description
As a costume designer at Disney and having the privilege of workingΒ with the actual costumes from Guardians of the Galaxy's Gamora and Starlord to create replicas for our walk around/special events costumes (does it sound cool? It is!), I can appreciate Marvels extreme attention to detail and design. I'm a big fan of the Marvel artists who do concept design! Naturally I have my own take. In her case the costume and Zoe Saldana's take on her was a bit too classy and restrained in my opinion. I see her as more kick-ass biker chick. Thanos is a lousy dad and a ruthless teacher, what girl wouldn't be damaged goods and leave home? If she is "the most dangerous woman in the galaxy" I would frankly like to have seen Jennifer Garner's take. I don't see her sword as retractable in a mechanical sense, but like Starlord's helmet, programmable matter, expandable not created. I also wish there had been more of a tribal take on her cybernetic implant "tattoos" like in the "Art of" book. Frankly this isn't finished, but it's close.Related content
