Description
This was all spawned by the fantastic who displayed a great self insert Pokémon trainer an gave me the bug to do it myself! I did it a looooong time ago [link] and second attempt [link] . I can't remember too much about either of them really so time for a proper go at it! And I even tried to get the Pokémon style down...failed, but tried! So enjoy

Occupation: Coordinator
Hometown: Gardenia Town (Kanto)

Background: Growing up on a nice home on the outskirts of Gardenia Town she grew up with a handful of Pokémon over the years, usually of the canine and feline variety, and her mother and father. Her parents were unwilling to purchase her, her own Pokémon, but when their marriage began to flounder her father he offered up one of the serpentine varieties she was so fond of. She didn't realize until many years later that it was likely far more to spite her mother than for her eleventh birthday.

A small Ekans she named El Dorado became her first pet and partner; although she didn't begin her career and journey at that point. It wasn't until she graduated high school and El Dorado had evolved that she began her career as a coordinator. When she set off she was joined with their Delcatty Donna who wouldn't settle for the attention being on anyone else.

She's done well enough to support herself and happily travels the regions searching for more teammates and new experiences.

Relation to reality: Appearance is the same and I only have my right ear pierced. Ekans/Arbok was my original favorite Pokémon so it seemed like the perfect choice for a starter ^-^ I actually know NOTHING about Gardenia Town, but I wanted a place in Kanto since I started from the very beginning with the games. Lauren is actually my name, I need to think of a good false last one though X3

Personality: A very friendly Arbok it takes a lot to anger him. Bites have occurred accidentally and before evolution. It takes pride in its accomplishments in contests and while it's very fond of its appearance it thinks more of its strength.
Background: His unusual coloring was not well received when he was a coppery Ekans and he became absolutely in love when he was chosen and did his best for Lauren, hoping to live up to his name. At such a young age she didn't know what he would look like when he evolved, but he appeared like a copper coin to her so it was the only logical course of action; right?
Relation to Reality: I own a shiny Arbok, sadly not named El Dorado because I got it in a trade. Always thought it was a great name for a shiny Arbok so here he is!

Donna
Species: Delcatty
Gender: Female
Pokéball: Love Ball
Attacks: Assist, Mimic, Hyper Voice, Wild Charge
Specializes in: Appeal rounds. Will participate in battles of needed, but not easily managed in doubles or triples
Personality: Thinks very highly of herself and can become jealous easily. She's an older Pokémon, but very vocal and acts much like a kitten. Loves to play and prefers to be outside when possible.
Background: Nothing more than a pet prior to Lauren beginning her journey. It took a bit of adjusting to get used to the new life, but soon became overjoyed by all the new things she could find while on the road. She'll never pass up a chance for a proper bed though.
Relation to Reality: Personality of my current cat and her original name before we adopted her.

Onyx
Species: Arcanine * (melanistic)
Gender: Male
Pokéball: Heavy Ball
Attacks: Fire Fang, Morning Sun, Crunch, Dragon Pulse
Specializes in: Mount, protective wall when camping, battles (normal and competitive)
Personality: Very friendly, but also extremely protective. Happily acts as transportation for the group and creates warmth for them while camping, easily becoming Donna's favorite member of the group.
Background: As a Growlithe he was used as a prize in an unofficial Pokémon contest. Lauren absolutely loved the fire type as the canines she grew up with were always black and she enjoyed the unique markings and coloration. She won the contests and de was her first outside teammate and has been with her for plenty of years.
Relation to Reality: Based on a melanistic tiger, wanted to do an Arcanine based off of the design.

Shen
Species: Haxorus
Gender: Male
Pokéball: Great ball
Attacks: Outrage, Earthquake, Night Slash, Swords Dance
Specializes in: Pure battles
Personality: It is very hard for Shen to warm up to a people, especially if they're of the same gender. Lauren has to be careful with him, he is docile and very caring for her and Donna; but is not completely 'one with the team' as the past teammates have been. He'll put up with the more exciteable Onyx, manages to get along well with Oolong and they can be seen chatting often, doesn't see to know that Avaon exists, has tried to kill Lucion on more than one occassion (though every teammember has given it a go at some point), and will get along with El Dorado if needed, but otherwise leaves him be.
Background: Lauren caught him as an Axew after a lot of searching and battles. She was so thrilled with her capture she didn't even realize that he was more than a little pissed to be disturbed. He had become quite bitter after one of his tusks broke and he had a great deal of difficulty fending for himself in the dark caverns. A bit of food and the reassurance that he could, indeed, battle and the praise that came along with it and he was more than happy to stay with his new trainer.
Relation to Reality: My FIRST level 100 Pokémon! Not the first one I ever owned, but first one I trained up all on my own ^-^ Never even intended for him to be, but he was very easy to use when clearing out those daily battles in the Castelia stadiums and it just happened XD

Oolong
Species: Altaria
Gender: Male
Pokéball: Pokéball
Specializes in: All around great in contests, flying mount
Attacks: Draco Meteor, Cotton Guard, Iron Tail, Whirlwind
Personality: A very serene Altaria, but vicious in battle. He is not very old as far as Altaria go, but always acts as if he is all knowing. Will never acknowledge when he's wrong.
Background: Captured as a Swablu by Donna he was rescued by Lauren who took him to a Pokécenter for a check up. He was unwilling to leave after a nice bit of care and taken right in.
Relation to Reality: I've always loved phoenixes, dragons, and birds in general. Besides, how could I do in the Pokémon world without someone to fly me about?! I did have an Altaria named Oolong in a Nuzlocke I did (never drew) who met a very epic fate which I hope to draw one day.

Lucion
Species: Serperior
Gender: Male
Pokéball: Luxury Ball
Specializes: Contests, appeal preferably
Attacks: Leech Seed, Giga Drain, Mirror Coat, Wring Out
Personality: VAIN. If you don't have something for him then get out of his way you peon! Does not get along well with El Dorado at all and won't tolerate him for a moment. Spends anytime when he's around the longer serpent holding himself tall and proud to make himself look larger. Will not battle by physical means at all and while he is usually very cocky in the ring the one way to get him to become properly viscous is to touch him.
Background: Bred specifically for contests he does extremely well and not just appearance wise; is is well aware he is stunning. Lauren picked him up for a pretty Pokédollar chosen from a catalog of photos containing him and his brethren. Not a very smart move, she didn't realize how spoiled the Snivy was until she went to introduce him to her team. She was patient with him far longer than anyone should have been, but she was always taken by his appearance when she contemplates making a trade and he had never lost a contest round. For as uppity as he can be Lauren truly does love him and vice versa.
Relation to Reality: Always very fond of the serpent Pokémon especially Serperior (Servine is my favorite) and the snake I own I always call my 'Little Prince' which is a nickname he's taken on. Lucion is also the name of my Servine in White 2 (still haven't finished!!! D: )

Specializes: Being cute
Attacks: Leech Life, Confuse Ray, Poison Fang, Aerial Ace
Personality: Very loving, but very skittish at first. Often found nestled in Lauren's hood or otherwise clinging to her and won't take off or go far until he's certain that the coast is clear. Often found clinging to Shen for safety, but the dragon has yet to notice his presence. It is difficult to tell if he would continue with this behavior if he was spotted.
Relation to Reality: I like bats! And I've always had a fascination with albino creatures ever since I was young.
