I finally have one! The first ever adoptable in aaaaaall my years that I've ever claimed, let alone purchased! I'm thrilled to be a true blue part of the MAIS community now ^-^

Accessory: Satchel made from a large seed; contains smaller seeds within and is often used to store samples, seedlings, and other gardening materials or medicine. A shovel on his right foot, his left kicks it around to the front so he can easily dig whenever needed.
Skills: Gardening and weaving. Is knowledgeable about plants and can safely dole them out as medicine, but cannot treat more than minor wounds; he’s better with illnesses, ailments, and general needs.

Personality: Ren is a very kind Mais and is happy to help and likes to keep busy. If he hears of someone who isn’t feeling well he won’t hesitate to make an impromptu visit if he has the plants that can be used to help. He takes great pride in his appearance and despite working with plants he will keep himself clean.

He doesn’t take kindly to young Mais who still think his home is haunted. If they begin to disturb his plants he’ll shoo them off with his strong tail, sometimes flinging the smallest ones into the air! Mind you, always into the water. If the little Mais is simply curious he’s happy to show them around, he would rather get used to life in the pond instead of staying at his home.

Unique facts: Ren is mute and keeps a multitude of seeds with him at all times in the bag he wears. Single, large, red and green seeds for ‘yes’ and ‘no’ as well as many smaller seeds of various colors (some painted) so he can draw pictures. He can do so quickly and easily with his feet or long tail, the tip of which he is very skilled with. If a weed is being particularly stubborn he’ll wrap his entire tail around it and yank it up with a flip, he’s much stronger than his calm behavior would betray. Be careful of this if he finds a plant that interests him, his tail will wag excitedly and you don't want to be next to it when it does!

He is not a fan of music or loud noises and often vanishes during the singing event as he hasn’t had a reason to stick around. It isn’t that he exactly dislikes the music, but a lot of noise makes it difficult for him to be noticed without a voice himself, he is not the sort to feel comfortable calling a great deal of attention to himself. He’s also quite fond of the sound of nature.

However, Ren doesn’t mind conversing with talkative Mais, he is able to manipulate his seeds quickly enough to keep up, but if there are too many that are too boisterous you’ll turn around to realize he’s left!

Home: His home is hidden by tall reeds and other plants and isn’t in the best of condition. While he can work well with plant and other natural materials he has never been the most hands on Mais outside of gardening; mostly just letting weather have its way with his home unless he can fix up little things here and there. When a portion of his roof broke he used it as an opportunity to fit glass into the spaces, thus allowing him to grow plants inside even when it becomes cold.

His home is a little out of the way and has a small bit of water behind it where he can cultivate water bound seedlings. It is impossible to view anything but the top of his home from all sides as the area around has been grown up quite well with various plants, the most precious closest to the inner circle of his spot.

History: Ren seemed to just appeared one day, catching many Mais off guard at the sudden newcomer. This wasn’t the case however, in truth, he reappeared. Ren had been spending much of his time in and around his home cultivating his plants and had been ‘gone’ for so long nobody remembered much of him! He had never been the most flamboyant Mais to begin with. The Mais’s poor home had been deemed a haunted house by the little ones, for as much as Ren knows about plant life he knows just as little about handi- or tailiwork. The majority of the building had fallen into disrepair, but he is still able to live comfortably with his plants inside.

The male was excessively weary at first, taking only short excursions from his work to revisit the pond and its inhabitants. He has gradually returned full force, though will still spend a lot of his time in his garden he will also spend that time working with plants around and in the pond.

Ren previously had a mate, however, she has since passed away. If asked about her he’ll be polite, but just smile and shake his head instead of answering any questions via his seeds.
