This reminds me that not long ago, many young men from America and Britain were to some extent fans of Disney and and Popeye before and during WW2. The Vickers Wellington bomber was nicknamed Wimpy by its crews after the Hamburger lover in Popeye. I remember seeing planes with the pinups of Disney characters, though naturally aren't as common as the ones of with cheesecake models.
