Description
Idea is mine, though based on the Tournament of Mortals.Now we begin a new ear: Where the fates are reversed and those once thought lost rise to find themselves on the center stage!
This is a hypothetical Round 2, featuring two fighters who have both fought to protect mankind from the evils beyond understanding.
Reimu Hakurei: A powerful and holy Shrine Maiden, Reimu has battled everything from gods and demons, to vampires and ghosts, all to keep mankind safe. With her mystical powers, she has banished or destroyed some of the most powerful evil in existence.
Superman: Faster then a speeding bullet, and more powerful then a locomotive, Superman has been the Earth protector for decades. With an arsenal of abilities and the strength to physically move mountains with ease, Superman is one tough SOB.
Now, as the two get ready to battle, we must wonder: Reimu may have fought her way through hell and back, but can she take the Man of Steel? We all know magic is one of Superman's main weaknesses, but that hasn't stopped him before... Can Superman tough it out long enough to pull off a win? And if her magic fails her, what can Reimu do? This battle may rip the battle ground asunder, but in the end, only one can continue on to be--
THE DEADLIEST MORTAL!
Finally, in a classic 'To the Victor Goes the Spoils', after you pick a winner, pick something for them to take from the loser. It may be something as simple as a piece of equipment, to something as complex as a power. I'm just curious what you all would say.

Within the established parameters, one should be able to bend Gensokyo to the image of their choosing. We'll ignore that most people tend to go by different parameters...
So they're soulmates in mine. Big deal. They still interact pretty much the same (with the activities of a couple deeply in love thrown in at times. By the way, they are kinky in mine, but they only indulge in the kinky on very rare, special occasions. They are both very open to each other about enjoying it) as we have seen in public. First Touhou fan I met...admittedly wrote Scarletcest at the time, but she shied away from that in favor of the oni (and Hatate...and now whatever else people ask her to write). And RemiSaku is indeed the closest I have to an OTP these days...

They're not obsessed, per se. You know how some couples in real life are the sickeningly sweet type that make you gag but make you kinda jealous, yet glad that they make each other so happy. That's those two (and ESPECIALLY the main "heroines". Remi and Sakuya at least try not to publicly snog each other senseless) in my Gensokyo. I know that type of couple exists because I'm half of one. Despite being the guy, I'm the much more affectionate one...
I guess you can note me if you feel the poster of this picture will eventually get annoyed with how we went from discussing the many variables of such a fight to Touhou canon to who we think would be in a lesbian relationship in Touhou (and neither of our OTPs have anything to do with Reimu). Granted, unless they want to go down to the Human Village, they don't have much choice besides Rinnosuke, a cloud god thing, and the Hakurei pet flying turtle...

That's mostly when I'm talking, otherwise I have a good grasp of separation of Personal and Professional Behavior (You'll find me the Blue Oni to a lot of people, Mostly by younger brothers who inherited the Red Oni genes from our mother's side of the family and my mother is like half of BOTH types of Oni).
Hope The Evil Within and Alien Isolation scare the fuck out of me with both psychological and physical Terror/Horror (and in aliens case bring back the feel the first one (which it's ironically based around) did)

I like to think both eras can coexist. ZUN did say Mima still exists. He just doesn't know what to do with her. Though Yukari would be more to Reimu what Mima was to Marisa...More morally ambiguous than Mima, though...

I converted my baby brother to Touhouism a year ago (he's 14 now, I'm 27), It just made his father hate me more cause he views me as a loser (He's been that way since I was 11 when he married my mom, so yes he is a real life Wicked Stepfather much to my misfortune, a bully to one who's 10 years his junior (This was pathetic back when I was 11 and still is pathetic to THIS DAY) and an idiot who contratics himself in the same sentence (Tells me he wants his son to grow up to be a Real Man and not a loser like me, yet scares the poor kid like he's an ammoral loan shark calling in his loan, terrorize me for the gal of still living with my mother (Fun fact his mother got tired of his shit back than and threw him out of her home, That's how he met and hooked up with my mother by the way) and being happy (got into a fight with me when I was playing my video game on my day off in the house when no one but him and me were there, than kicked me out to my room outside the house than had the galls to deny it when my mother confronted him over it with selective memory even though everyone's not buying it since we know him, Also saying he wants his son to be safe and always be in control, yet loses his temper when my mom kicks him out the house for the earlier incident with me and having enough of his behavior and instead of walking away back to his place, tries to show her he's "the man" and breaks the Front Door down before leaving, leaving the house exposed to danger cause it's MIDNIGHT without a care so much for wanting your son to be safe, I'd say it's his old country routes (He's from Haiti) but than that would be insulting his mother and sister (also from there) who are far nicer people than he'll ever be and it's just him holding on to outdated (By all cultures by the way) views about a man and woman's role in a family despite my mother being the breadwinner of the family and him caring enough to give money to his son (As in not money to pay for clothes, living expenses, ETC, He thinks giving the boy chump change is him fulfilling his obligation to the family, He's a living Jerkass to everyone who disagrees with him, or anyone's who's ME)

With that AND his fans, I don't think he's able to forget about Mima. Even IF he said, "No. The first five Touhou games never happened," they'd still ask for Mima. They'd reason that Alice and Yuuka returned from the void of nonexistence. AAAAND considering that she was featured in all but the fourth game in the PC-98 games, it'd be more likely that he'd forget about Konngara than Mima...

Let's Hope it happens at Least bring Mima and Shinki (I love the fanon belief that Alice and Shinki are adopted loving mother and aloof daughter, and Mima/Marisa nor romantic mind you), Hell What if Mima is inside Reimu and is the reason for her "Flying" ability (Since it is ghost like)

You could tell the horrible people in your family that falling's just like flying, except there's a more permanent destination. At least you're TRYING to live life like an adult despite living with your mother (which is more financial problems than anything). At least my section of my family is not like that. They actually try not to egg on the abuse charges. I know at least one of my cousins was abused by her mother (my uncle did something smart for once when he separated from her. He'd divorce her if he had the money). As for your sister, would you keep telling her, "TOLD YOU SO!" when she gets back, her life in ruins? I'm just glad Onee-sama's (not my blood or adopted sister, but she helps with emotional support) not an idiot (just a ditz at times). She actually wants to complete school. Actually, my school has very few of that type. Ironic if you knew the name of the town that people care about schooling and acceptance here...
That's the relationship I think of with Mima and Marisa. The equivalent to how I think the relationship between Reimu and Yukari is off-screen. And if that were a plot point, Genji would come back, or a team mechanic with Marisa would happen...

if the character reimu has magic then she may put up a tough fight for superman but the thing is that superman is not weak against magic he just does not have any special defence against it for example if you hit super man with a wooden baseball bat it won't do a thing but if you hit superman with a baseball bat Enhanced with magic it will do just the same effect if you would to hit any one else with a normal baseball bat so yes that's the thing as for the other character i don't know much about her but she sound intresting going to have to investigate on that aside from all that great idea

Thing with Magic (Reimu uses Divine Power, She's a Miko aka Shrine Maiden AKA Priestess) is it has to HIT Supes to be effective Why you think Marvel grabs Supes before yelling "Shazam", To make certain that huge bolt of Magical energy Hits Supes otherwise he would dodge the Bolt

As a character and his backstory I love him as much as Batman and Wonder Woman who I also love, But power/abilitywise Batman and Wonder Woman will always beat him out to be for being more balanced out (Outside of those who think like Frank Miller in the case of Batman where he goes beyond crazy prepared and just pulls Deus Ex Machina's out his ass)

All Star Batman is his prequel to The Dark Knight Returns/Strikes Again, It gets worser and worser with EVERY DC CHARACTER IN IT, He written WW as a manhating Bitch/Straw Feminist who's in a slap-slap kiss relationship with Superman (I hate Supes x WW pairings I's as I will always be Supes/Clark Kent x lois lane/Kent lover and screw DC for New 52 putting him and Wonder Woman together, That's going to cause problems later down the road "Sarcasm") who gets mad at him when he acts wish washy (Government has my hands tied) to lustful when he starts getting or is becoming threatening TOWARDS HER. Well, Reimu has an ability where she can become invincible that she only used in one of the written works I believe, so unless the fight were to last 70-90 years (given Japanese life expectancy), I don't see how she would lose...
She can also transcend the material border into dreamspace. I'm sure given the time, she'd also become powerful enough to perform whatever magic it took to create the Great Hakurei Border, which could seal Superman in say, a block of kryptonite.

Fantasy Heaven is an at will power, the biggest example of Reimu's innate and unreasonable strength. She was doing it unconsciously until Marisa noticed something was up and made Reimu stop using hax.
IN Spellcard descripton: " If it wasn't just for play (with time limit), no one could beat her with any method."
Marisa's Grimoire: " Reimu becomes completely impossible to touch. Opaque invisible man status.. This seems like Reimu's final attack, but it looks like she just closes her eyes and the danmaku aims itself and fires towards the enemy automatically. This is merely nothing but the power Reimu was born with, a spell card she never has to use. So the name of the attack must also come from heaven."
It was also the only instant kill move in the fighting games.

If Reimu spams her abilities she might stand a chance against Superman, maybe restrain him from getting to the sun. But it would be to the landscape to the decide. What landscape are they fghitng in?

Reimu has better Mid Range, Fantasy Heaven Seal, and takes the Psychological and Energy Potential X-Factors.
Superman has better Pre-Battle, Long Range, Close Range, The Motherbox, Defense, and takes the Physical, Mental, and Preparation X-Factors.
Conclusion: Superman Wins

Reimu's got great long range. Her danmaku seek out foes without concentration. She also acts as a vessel for gods, survived the moon and Reisen's mindscrews, and survived a trip to Former Hell (, which literally contains a sun) which means she's pretty solid for a human.
She's more manuverable, as shown by Fantasy Seal -blink-. "Reference Level: Only Reimu is able to perform it, so it can't be used as a reference.
Reimu herself only moves in a straight line, but somehow completely surrounds you. If you think she'll pass you from the front, she'll pop out from behind of you.
The tengu and Sakuya do something similar, but for the tengu, it's just speed, and for Sakuya, it's just teleportation. Reimu's technique isn't something cheap like that. You probably don't get what I'm talking about, but I don't really get it myself. [1]
Reimu says that "the boundary surrounding the barrier can't be seen in and of itself, so it appears to everyone that an enemy is there." Is it just looping around a small world? Or maybe it's something like two mirrors facing each other?
Reimu has lots of spell cards like this. They don't aim directly at you, so it's like being made fun of."
Fantasy Seal will remove all counter play if it hits. " A spell card that forcibly seals you with bullets of light that ignore the laws of physics. She could exterminate any and all youkai by force with this. The youkai hate this light the most and it's very difficult for them to withstand. It's painful to humans too."
She's known to frequently warp space as well, shown by Duplex Barrier. " A spell card with a mysterious power that turns space inside-out. I'm jealous. If an area is enclosed in that border, my magic's range also widens. I indirectly asked Reimu about it but it was pointless. In this border affects everything within the lines, and with two borders, it's as if there were no border at all. If you can find a gap somewhere in this space, two borders will cover it up."
These ignore her trump card, Fantasy Heaven.¨ Supreme Master-Arts by any means. With Reimu's ability to float, she floats from everything in reality and becomes invincible.
If it wasn't just for play (with time limit), no one could beat her with any method.
These are all descriptions of Reimu's innate abilites ( separate from her shrine maiden abilities) given by Marisa, her suprisingly studious ally and rival and Zun, series creator. Reimu is effectively limited by her effort, and in an all-out battle, she is capable of complete immobilizing, out maneuvering, and out living foes.

Okay, definitely Superman. I'm pretty sure no amount of fantasy spam and sealing spells would hold Superman. Not to mention Superman's extremely fast, the barriers Reimu make would probably hold him off for a bit long enough for her to get away. Fantasy Heaven would do not much damage, and leave Reimu tired long enough for Superman to restrain her to the ground... Then they have tea together!

Inncorrect. Reimus Fantasy Seal defies physics, and restricts all forms of movement., Duplex Barrier is similar, but traps foes in space. The time limit on Fantasy Heaven is only in place due to spell card rules. Fantasy Heaven is stated ingame and by Zun to be unbeatable, and is second nature to Reimu, who just closes her eyes. Given her apparently inexhaustable sources of amulets ( which once again, are controlled by her hax ability) , she can spam Superman indefinitely without suffering any casualties.

This is the toughest one...maybe because she's young, she's less experienced? I don't know what else to say, and that probably isn't even true...they both seem to have great fortitude.
