Race: Pure-bred Unicorn (*Unilatian)

Mercy, a 'Purebred Unicorn' as her Kingdom defines it- the Kingdom of Unilatia. Unilatia is a kingdom hidden away from the rest of the world atop a mountain- Mtn. Solitian- situated in the center, out of sight, and out of mind. The Unilatian Kingdom have vowed to remain isolated from the rest of the World, and are very strict upon their rules of non-interaction with any other kingdom- or others from the outside. They consider themselves 'Pure', because they only mate with other unicorns- leaving the pegasi and Earth Pony interminglement that has produced the 'Lesser Unicorns'- those outside of Unilatia. For this, they have retained the physic of the ancient unicorns- thus the cleft hooves, feathered fetlocks, curved horns, and long sickle tails.
In the way of government and political standing- Unilatia is a Kingdom governed by a king and his queen, a committee of trusted officials, of tight-knit groups of professions, ranging from farmers to researchers, teachers, scholars, healers, and all other manner of artisan inquiries. Unilatia is its own Kingdom away from the rest of the world, they have hardly any need for warriors, soldiers- of course they have some, those that keep order and kept the Kingdom safe from any harm, but never enough power to launch a war. For the time being, and for the last few dozen centuries they've been around, they have a strict policy of peace, they don't believe in fighting.

But Unilatia doesn't really like those ponies outside our kingdom, the Earth Ponies, Pegasi, other- as we dubbed it- 'Lesser' Unicorns. We stay away from all of them, even the griffons and the yaks, and they all stay away from other ponies- Celestia, and the officials of GriffonStone and Yakyakistan have agreed not to cross into our borders, its a peaceful agreement, and it works.

On political terms with the other nations of Equestria- there was a Peace Treaty signed between Princess Celestia, the officials of Yakyakistan, and Griffonstone, and the King and Queen of Unilatia- nearly 8 centuries ago now. An agreement that states for every and all persons not a Unilatian Citizen are to stay out and away from their territory, from the entirety of Mtn. Solitian and the lands surrounding the base. Its an agreement that has been keep since it was signed. But the unicorns of Unilatia do not come down from their kingdom, it's been centuries since any of their citizens have left the confines of the Unilation territory. The unicorns that live there have everything they could ever need within their own kingdom, so they have no need to leave their kingdom at all. There's also a law in Unilatia that states should any member of their kingdom leave the territory of Unilatia, that unicorn shall not be allowed to enter back into the kingdom. It's a law that's been in standing for centuries, and it isn't about to be changed, under any circumstance.
Mercy was the apprentice of the Kingdom's Head Healer- the Unicorn who was a personal 'doctor' if you will, to the King and his Queen. Healers are those unicorns whose main focus is on Healing Spells, fixing broken bones, mending ailments, curing illness, etc. Mercy was very good at her job, even being the best just under her Mentor. For her prowess, Mercy was a respected individual, even more so as the King and Queen adopted Mercy as their daughter when she was younger, her parents vanished when she was very young and no one has seen them in years.

Mercy has a special skill for advanced healing spells, and the like. Her Magic is strong due to being a purebred Unilation unicorn, but she has a special amount of power and skill when it comes to using Magic for healing.

Mercy for a very long time loved her job and was very happy helping out anypony that she could. She usually made rounds moving between different houses and healing, administering tonics and potions, and binding wounds and bruises. She's a kind and compassionate individual, and has a very gentle touch when it comes to working with her patients. She also quite faint of heart, and can easily be put off or made uneasy. But after a long while of the same day to day moving between houses and healing the same wounds and sicknesses she started to grow bored with it all, and at first turned to perusing the books and documents the castle's royal library had on the lands surrounding Unilatia, specifically Equestria. She began to become obsessed with Equestria and it's customs the more she read about it, until her curiosity was too much, and the gleam of those distant green meadows and the pale figures of towns became too much for her to simply look at from afar.

Mercy struck out on her own and left the only home she had ever known behind, she left without a word because she knew the ponies she knew there would try and stop her from going. She's begun to travel through every town and every city, trying to learn all she can about Equestrian life, customs, traditions, holidays and ways of life. She's an insatiably curious individual and a little out of her depth in a wide new world she knows nothing about, sometimes she's in a little over her head with everything that's so new to her. But she does her best to learn all she can and fit in with Equestrian life(though it's a little hard for her, since she tends to stick out like a sore thumb simply based on her appearance, and even more so with how clueless she is about how ponies in Equestria live their lives).

She holds on to shreds of her old job as a Healer in Unilatia, she collects and takes notes on the herbs and medicinal plants she finds in Equestria's lands, and still practices mixing and creating new poultices and potions. Whenever she runs upon a pony in need of a bit of medical assistance she gives her help.

She was especially fond of Canterlot and Manehatten when she visited the cities, she loves all the sites and the shops, and especially all the food places.

She stumbled upon PonyVille when she was traveling the countryside of Equestria, it was here she first ran into CopperTune, and struck up a friendship with the Earth Pony, who was all too happy to share her own stories and experiences of when CopperTune herself was traveling around Equestria. It was through CopperTune as she and Mercy grew closer to one another that Mercy eventually meant the other members of their group of friends, including Flare, MoonApple, Flash and StormShadow. (Mercy along with the group of CopperTune, MoonApple, StormShadow, Flare, and Flash make up the Elements of War/Peace).
