Description

I thought I'd finish this concept to get the creatures of DD started. While I was finishing this concept up I kinda had some thoughts rolling around in my head for these little guys and I thought I'd share them with you. So to starting with the basics, this creature is called a Dilladongo (working name that stuck so far.) or for shot Dillies. They stand roughly around 3,0 to 3,6 when they stand on there hind legs and resemble a mouse like armadillo in features. They inhabit mostly deserts but can live around mountains and plains and they live underground to stay cool from the the scorching sun of their homelands and to avoid predators. If Dillies are not out scavenging at night for odds and ends that they can use for tools they will dig tunnels and barrows throughout the day mainly for growing families as well as food storage, water wells and even root gardens and bug and grub farms. Dillies also have the ability to cruel up into themselves for protection or when they are frightened. When this happens they will do there best to roll away as best as they can from what they believe to be dangerous to them. Dillies are simple creatures and are mostly timid in nature however if there is a threat to their barrows or to their young they attack in little packs to defend against their foes. Dillies do not have a standing religion as most species do but they do revere not the sun and the moon as something sacred. As far as myths and legends are told amongst Dillies, the world is just the back of a sleeping earth dragon who has slept since the dawn of time who will one day awaken and devour all who live a pone his scaly back.
