ehehhehe...my first tutorial! xD a couple of people had already asked me to make a tutorial, but i said no because it was the school year and i was swamped with homework/lazy, but now it's the summer so i have plenty of time 8D! this didn't take very long anyway, maybe like an hour >_>
questions:
Q: do you need a tablet for this?
A: you don't really need one, but having one makes things 38498797923890839 times easier. if you are serious about digital art, it would be a really good investment. but if you have good control over the mouse, be my guest! no seriously...get a tablet ><
Q: what kind of brushes do you use for the colors?
A: it really doesn't matter >_> i use Basic Round usually but they're mostly all the same.
Q: can this be done on an older version of Painter?
A: sure! there's just less brushes but i'm sure you can find a workaround for it.
Q: can this be done on Photoshop?
A: maybe, but after all, the blending tools on photoshop suck, but other than that you might...
Q: can I print this?
A: i don't really care D:
Q: do you have the lineart I can use for practice?
A: sadly, the only copy I have I colored on, and i'm too lazy to scan again. but I'm sure there are lots of lineart deviations you can use, as long as you ask the artists nicely.

I use Photoshop because I don't have painter. You have to cheat on the blending in Photoshop Bu I don't use it much, I just work with layers and oversize brushes with low hardness and pressure precentages. This is a good tutorial though.
