Well, you might be able to help- do you think I should do the body like an ape and the rest like a leopard? Or the arms like an ape, too? I sorta like the second better, but...

yeah me too because really a leoperd monkey hybrid isnt really good. i mean a monkey with feline arms seems out of place so yeah the color and body form of an ape is good. But im preety sure you should add some claws to add an element of feriousity to it. Man i sound like a professional artist but i have never drawn anything...other than stick people

Offhand, this guy could easily have stepped out of one of the better 80's fantasy cartoons...the "feel" is just so dead-on in that direction. Snarling saurian visage (I especially appreciate the variable sizes of those teeth)? Nifty fins, spurs & webbing (interesting choice leaving the elbow-spines & toe-claws 'sheathed'
