Added 11/24/12So, here are some of those swords I asked about. I picked some that I really wanted to draw, and we have this batch of swords.
From top to bottom we have:
A Shotel. I call this one the Lion's Claw (or Tooth, undecided.)
A Shamshir. I think I'll call it...Serpentsbane. Yeah, sounds ok.
Next row on the left, we have a Kora called Soulrend, and on the right a Ram Dao called Dreadnaught.
A Kalis (or Kris) called Heart Seeker.
And last (drawn in Paint and NOT on the tablet as the rest were, which is why it looks so crappy in comparison) we have a Falx, by the name Cat's Claw.

I recommend calling it Lion's Claw, as Lions tooth is taken. It also looks like a claw. I suppose you could call it Lion's Fang?

Two swords can have the same name, just like there can be more than one person in the world named John, lol.
I like Lion's Claw better, though.

Yeah I know, but the other Lion's Tooth was owned by an asshole named Jeoffrey Lannistar. It would be weird attributing your art to him.

Well, Claw works better for this one anyway. Not very Tooth-like.

Ah that reminds me. You should check out the Arakh. It's a weapon used in the same book series. It's kind of like a two handed shotel.

Nice. I wonder how these would actually do in combat, or if they're more 'look cool but can't fight for squat' type of weapons.

These are all actual weapons. They all would work. Look 'em up on Google to see how they are in combat.

I knew they were real, I just meant how practical they would be in a fight with a different kind of sword.
