It's amazing to think that here is this work of your's and unless you know it's Joseph (the Elephant man) it does indeed appear surreal proving that most people's view of reality is in fact wrong...i could make an excelent thesis on this.. Thanks your work is not only wonderfuly done, it's inspiring!

Well, he is quite realistic, the only surreal things are those swirls of white and yellow around. I guess the're bits of symbolism here, I can't think of it now, I just know that I tried to draw a growing despair and pain.

This really touched me!! As someone living with a painful physical disease, I fully understand: "the despair that is inevitable when there's no relief". Everything about this speaks to that. His posture, his expression, and especially his eyes. The right hand reaching out for succor, while the other clutches his chest, is such a profound and a wonderful gesture!! Great job on this dear

It actually gives me headache when I look at it for long. I suppose a lot of myself I did put into this drawing. It was fairly quick and with no corrections, I just sat and made it. I'm the antenna of my subconcious self.
