do you use construction lines when you draw? i would love to know how you put these together

Actually, it's a combination of lines, mass shapes, circles and instinct. The lines are good for determining how long things should be. I also use a "line of action" to quickly set the pose. Circles are good for heads, body mass, and joints. Of course you have to develop the instinct to know the size and placement of all these. It sounds complicated, but with practice it becomes natural. I tend to work fast. I think this leads to more "looseness" and spontaneity. This is what works best for me. You may have to do it your own way.XD
