Description
Volition is a ooak (one of a kind) clydesdale unicorn stallion sculpture. He is made from polymer clay over wire and foil, and painted in acrylic. Like all my sculptures, Volition is a true one of a kind, meaning no moulds were used or taken in his creation. He is quite large, about 6 inches long from chest to bum. He has brown inset resin eyes and tibetan lamb fur for hair.

Volition is actually a very old sculpture, I started him in 2011 and put him aside for several months, later to realize I had done his anatomy wrong. At one point I removed his old head and attached it to another sculpture (Meridian the hippocampus, if you're curious) and made him a new one. Once again I abandoned him and finally got to working on him again in 2013, but the way his original armature was made I felt he was better suited to a draft body. I got a little carried away with the painting on his white markings but I like how the texture turned out. I haven't painted a bay in a long time, nor have I ever done much in the way of draft horses so this guy was a nice change for me.
