Description The Aurora Highway Patrol is Headquartered out of Stockton, Stockton County. The Aurora Highway Patrol has Jurisdiction over all Aurora State Highways, as well as acting as the state police. The Aurora Highway Patrol are deployed out of 4 Troops: Troop A- Stockton/Edmonton Counties, Troop B- Bellview/Fairfax/Blade Counties, Troop C- Acer/Brockway Counties, and Troop D- Kobb/Pierce/San Torrilo Counties.

Each troop is assigned a minimum of 25 standard patrol cars (Chargers, Tahoes, or Crown Vics), 10 K-9 patrol cars (Tahoes, or Crown Vics), 10 commercial enforcement patrol cars (Tahoes, or F-150s), 10 unmarked traffic patrol cars (Chargers, Tahoes, or Crown Vics), 5 Investigations patrol Cars (Chargers, Tahoes, or Crown Vics), 5 "Ghost" patrol cars (Chargers), 5 Supervisor and Watch Commander patrol cars (Chargers, and Tahoes), 10 motor units (electra glides) and 2 Special Response units (One armored HMMWV, and one modified Tahoe). Troop A is the only troop assigned the MRAPs and the Air Units. Troop A also has the most patrol units, as it patrols the most populated area in the state. 

The standard patrol cars are staffed by one state trooper. The K-9 Cars are staffed by one state trooper and one K-9. The Supervisor Cars are staffed by one watch commander, and the Motor Units are staffed by one motor trooper. The Special response Units are staffed by anywhere from four two ten SRT troopers. The Air units are staffed by two pilots, and one crew chief. 

All of the patrol cars are outfitted with forward and rear dash cameras, a mobile data terminal, one passive and active radar system, one mounted GPS unit, one Colt M-4 Carbine, one Remington 870 Shotgun, two spike strips, five traffic cones, three rolls of crime scene tape, ten road flares, one first aid kit, one multi purpose fire extinguisher, and two traffic vests.

The motor units are outfitted with a traffic vest, one roll of crime scene tape, a mobile data terminal, one mounted GPS unit, two road flares, and a radar gun. 

The Special Response HMMWV and MRAP Units are outfitted with forward and rear dash cameras, a mobile data terminal, one mounted GPS Unit, a little giant ladder, one multi purpose fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit.

The Helicopters are outfitted with a mobile data terminal, six fast rope mounts, a crash survival kit, two halon 1211 extinguishers, and one long backboard.
