Wow! May I recommend The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath? It has always deeply inspired me, and made me wish I could paint... I would dearly, dearly love to see your take on Ulthar, or Celephaïs...

Thanks for your recommendation, but maybe it is better for me not to read such stuff, because I love lyrical intangible pictures like poems - that's a better inspiriation for me like concrete stories.
Although the stories of Tolkiens middle-earth are a great inspiration for me too, but more as complete works as some descriptions of landscape and so on in detail.
I love it to paint free - only feel and paint, without a specified image in my mind.
But I think soon or later I will read the books of H.P. Lovecraft

I don´t know why, but a lot of people love this picture very much although the quality is not the same like some newer pieces.
Probably it has a magical effekt? It´s a mystery.

Sehr schöne Arbeit, mag den Kontrast zwischen warmen und kalten Farben sehr. Auch wenn das Bild aus dem zentrierten Aufbau besteht (also Portal in der Mitte) ist die Komposition etwas statisch, eine perspektivische Darstellung oder abweichung entlang der Drittel-Regel hätte das Motiv evtl. noch interessanter machen können. Das Boot am unteren Ende sorgt dennoch für das nötige Ungleichgewicht. Ich finde das Bild hat auch so seinen Reiz und erzählt eine Geschichte, darauf kommt es ja auch an.
Einziger kritikpunkt wäre das deviantArt-Wasserzeichen, das stört leider echt ungemein, da würde ich dir empfehlen lieber ein eigenes Wasserzeichen mit deinem Namen, email-Adresse oder Webseite eher unobstrusiv in das Bild einzufügen. Die Leute die dich finden wollen werden es tun, die anderen die einfach nur kopieren wollen wirst du auch nicht mit dem störenden Wasserzeichen abhalten, das aber nur so am Rande

Das Wasserzeichen habe ich mal dann doch entfernt, irgendwie hats mich auch slelbst gestört xD.
Ich hoffe du bist stressfrei von der ComicCon heimgekehrt und konntest dich gut präsentieren, bzw. Kontakte knüpfen. ich werd dich dazu dann sicher in Leipzig mal löchern, hihi
