Description
Dedicated to a friend - Iwona StefańczukThank you for everything
This is my first IR photo I have submitted and one of the first I have ever done. I know! It was windy and I shouln'd have! But I finally had opportunity to do IR and I couldn't help myself. Therefore the trees and clouds are blurred. But I am very proud of this one! As it is my firstborn! I will hate it next year! So please feel free to make all the suggestions you want! Well... I want comments that will help me improve myslef!
I don't remeber all the technical data as I was trying loads of different settings so please check the exif. As to post processing - quite the same - I used channel mixer but played with it a little more and then enhance the photo in Lightroom (general - contrast, balances, exposure etc.)
Taken in Białystok, Poland.

It looks brilliant. I was just reading the articles by `gilad Not sure my Canon 30D will do the job but I'm going to look into it a bit more I think.

Well that's the thing.... my Nikon D80 wasnt the best, D200 was slightly better but still not fantastic... the only good thing was that the really long exposures were giving lovely effects (smooth clonds, people looking like ghosts etc.) but sometimes you want the details as well.... so I converted one camera to IR only and now I can do what I want It's still a learning process though
It's really worth trying cause effects may surprise you
I'm absolutely in love with IR

Well I'd be quite happy to experiment with the abstract side of it to begin with I'm sure. So hmmm... yes I know what going on my Christmas list!

This is great. I'm always happy to see someone new to IR, especially when it's someone I've known on respected online for quite some time.
Also, thank you for the credit you gave me. I smiled for quite a bit after reading that

it must have fallen out of my bag at some point. i've been missing it for months and haven't found it among everything. it's a drag too because it was a 77mm. was outrageously priced

for some reaon they're really not that popular. i am not sure why. i suppose it's because it takes a bit more to get them right. but it's not easy to buy them even here in the states
