Yes I think it is a very sad composition. I think it's just the angle at which the viewer looks down on the figure.

well i think the way you've coloured it, and the actual expression on the figure's face, the body language and all that also contributes to the sadness of the piece. the walls seem to be peeling, in general it seems dilapidated. but wonderfully made

wow...there's a very crazy and great song by tear garden with "she's perfectly preserved" in the lyrics. this goes with the vibe nicely.
