I’m a bit frustrated with the ending of Mass Effect 3. Of course there is more important things in life then a bad game ending, so after this post I will no longer mention it. This comic is focused on my main compliant of the ending. The lack of choice. For a game series that is solely focused on choice, the final outcome simply comes to what color the relays will explode into.I came to the conclusion why Bioware decided to concluded the series this way for one reason only. To sell DLC. They already force DLC at you out of the box, why no give a crappy ending and get allot of attention and the sell a DLC for $14 that adds a few hours play and ‘fixes’ the ending of the game. It wouldn’t be too far fetched, EA (who owns Bioware) has done many draconian things in the past such as obtrusive DRM, forcing arbitration (not being able to sue ea in the court system) on customers who use the origin download service, and hostile take over attempts of other companies. Why would they not do this? The ending itself shows at text ad for future DLC!

I believe your Galactic Readiness needs to be at a certain level. Unless the indoctrination theory is correct, I think that the green(Synthesis) ending is the best possible outcome. Reapers now leave people alone, can help rebuild the Mass Relays, the Normandy's engines don't get ripped off as it's thrown out of the mass jump so it can be repaired(especially with three genius engineers and an AI working on it), and the geth and EDI don't die.
And honestly, no matter what...is death REALLY gonna stop Shepard? It didn't do so well the first time.

It actually turns out that Bioware used the green ending as an 'alernative' after a few days after the game came out. you get it as an 'update' when you begin the game.
haha. yeah, I can see Shepard as a restless sleeper.
I've played through all the "different" endings. they just seem like three different ways Shepard 'dies'. oh god, look at all of my air quoats. I believe in the indoctonation theory, but I honestly see even that as a lame excuse for the ending of the legacy.

I don't believe in the indoctrination theory anymore. The guy who made the video "proof" said a few things that were absolutely wrong. #1 of which being: "When Shepard wakes up, you see the shrubs that were in his 'dream' so it's proof he's indoctrinated". Um, no. Play the f-ing rush again. There are trees in London.
And until the DLC "expansion" says otherwise, I choose to believe that your team-mates, who are NOT among the pile of bodies, saw Shep and most of the rest of Hammer get blasted, realize that Harbinger is gonna kill everything, and have Joker come to get them out of there. Which is why the Normandy is making a mass relay jump, escaping from Harbinger.

I've seen some deleted sences, and apparently your last two sqaud mates had to die in some firey explosive blast from the reaper (which i asume the team just said 'screw it, let the normandy handle it'). I want to see what bioware is cooking up now, a new ending is going to come out in... the summer (i believe)?
I, yeah, I hate the ending.
and I was really bumded about the game, (I'm more pissed at the earned boy side quest than I am at the ending).

Your team mates only die if your EMS is too low. Considering that there wasn't a turian corpse, I have to assume that, at least in mine, my squad survived.

I worked my freaking butt to get my galactic readiness to 100%.
and you're right. It's about what you, the indiviual, considers what happens at the end. (plus, I really miss Legion. He and I were BFFs)

also i heard a rumor that bioware had a different ending lined up for ME3 and EA said no.......we want this ending to the game

i believe there should of been more decent endings, end it the way the player wishes to end it. it could be a bittersweet ending were shepard sacrifices him/herself for the greater good, one could be a good ending were you live and reunite with your friends and love interest, there should be endings based on your renegade or paragon (like becoming a Reaper God and control the reapers the way you see fit) or the earth and everything being destroyed. there are so many possible endings that could of been in this game. Also what choices you made throughout the series what happens to the quarians and geth in the future. they should of done something like DragonAge Origins. this is just my opinion anyway, and apart from the ending I still think this is a great game and great series
