In hindsight, like the Quiet x DD drawing, I wished for proper tender moments in MGSV's story. Given how much still feels unanswered in the story line, the silver lining to that is the fact that it gets you thinking of what might or could have been.

The masochistic vibe of Mother Base made me wonder if Snake would have liked to be held in his own iron grip, the same way his own soldiers did when you would come up and get them in a lock. I also theorized the idea that he would only let people hold him in such a grip if that person has developed a strong bond with him. Naturally, the only one who would have really gotten under Venom Snake's skin is none other than the Sniper, Quiet.

The scene that played in my head was Snake taking a moment to have a quick toke on his cigar as he waits for Pequod to come get him, knowing that Pequod was going to take some time. Ignoring the kicking of dust and just dismissing it as a draft of wind, he feels something abruptly pull on his right arm, followed by a sudden tug on his neck. He tries to wriggle out of this trap, worryingly thinking that it may be one of the Parasite Units, as he sees the shape of hands forming around his neck and arm.

To his relief, he sees her hazel eyes and the distinct butterfly mark that adorn them, and lowers his guard as he chuckles to make light of his paranoia. Snake playfully tries to wriggle himself free so that he can try and toke on his cigar, but the sniper would playfully restrain him in his own signature grip. As they locked onto each other's gaze, Pequod checks in on the radio, interrupting that tender yet brief moment of time that the battle-hardened duo could share a common language.

Safe to say that only Quiet gets to hold Big Boss in his own iron grip.
