Description
The conception of this drawing came from the gameplay question of, "What if we got Quiet before we got DD?". In that I am opening to interpretation how Quiet would behave if she finds the puppy that is DD running around Mother Base. While it does take away from the serious tones and dark themes of MGSV, it would make for good comic relief if Quiet and Ocelot fought over the attention of DD - he could have been Mother Base's resident, domesticated wolf or one of the most valuable companions to Venom Snake.

I have drawn this with the intention of taking the viewer's attention away from the controversial objectification and overtly sexualised nature of Quiet as a character, while still maintaining a sense of femininity and tenderness. This is one of the tropes of the art and gaming world that is beginning to become more and more bothersome to me, as it seems to stir up more avenues for argument than it is for people to come to a kind of collective solution. But that in itself is another can of worms which I wouldn't want to get too deep into here.

Personally, I have no real problem with her as a character, and I am sure that Mr. Kojima has his intentions in order to make her existence congruent to the deeper themes in the game. She is just as memorable to me as The Boss was, and I have learned many a profound thing from Quiet which has helped to influence my perceptions on things.

I also took the liberty and extra time to make it so that Quiet in this drawing bears a closer likeness to Stefanie Joosten, both to complement DD and also to add to the kawaii factor of it all
