Description The generation before the next generation: the legendary Enterprise-C, in all her glory before the battle atΒ Narendra III.

"Lets make sure that history never forgets the name Enterprise"

EDIT) I managed to add the windows on the top view of the saucer and we worked some small details and the name.

EDIT 2) after doing the refit Ambassador, I noticed there were several details I got wrong: too many escape pods on the older model, added the striping to the shuttlebay, and altered the false ribbing on the top of the nacelles.

Hello:

Β Youmade a very good work with the Ambassador class! You even added the forward photon torpedo launcher, that is invisible in every other reference and pics .

Β I am curious how were you able to draw the windows on top of the saucer, I can never get details on circular shapes done right

I used Paint.Net. its sort of like a cross between MS Paint and Photoshop. I loaded in a reference image from the top, matched the reference size to the Captshade image and began effectively tracing details on another layer.

So only tracing there? I can imagine without any antialias?

antailias?

Antialias adds some kind of blurryness to lines, but those are ostly used when someone draws characters as that makes lines to look smoother.

ahhhh no. as I said, Paint.Net is like MS Paint, so can turn off Antialiasing

Cool . Texturing saucer sections has been a big challenge whe it comes to 3d models for me

Well, I can't blame you because it is not as easy to get it done right as some people makes it look, hehehe.

I must admit, you did an exceptional job filling out the details I was not, I hope you do not mind if I retrofit some of your changes into my images.

I was doing some work with this today in conjunction with another project and I am curious, what reference did you use in making the changes to the nacelle and primary hull placement.

I am attempting to figure out whether this was the original configuration when the studio model was built, or that latter configuration after they had made some changes; I’m currently toying with the idea of an evolution chart and I want to be sure, and sadly, I do not have my normal access to the copious resources which would allow me to answer the question independently.

I’m surprised I had not noticed before; you also shifted the relative distance between the nacelles and primary hull; I remember reading about how they repositioned the primary hull on the model at one point between appearances, but was not aware it was so noticeable.

I would tend to agree in so far as I do not understand why so many tend to dislike the design.
