Continuing work now on the Meridian class battlecruiser The Tac Bat is almost done, and it's time to figure out how it fits with the mothership. Have started work on the bridge and, directly aft of it, landing bays for the drones. One on either side of the central gravity deck. The bridge will be twin decked (both sides of the central deck), but with a single crew mostly flipping from side to side by edge of deck mounted cockpit chairs depending on which side of the ship has action or direction of travel.This gives the bridge crew much better orientation in space, and makes them fight better.

A twin decked bridge seems like it would be a waste of volume compared to whatever nebulous advantages might be gained from the crew having a 'better' orientation. Particularly since any realistic space combat isn't going to be in visual range and would have heavy computer involvement anyway.
Neat looking design though.

Thanks for the comment mate. He he, you're probably right, but what the hell.. This is all makebelieve anyway, and I really want to design the damn thing because I think it'll look cool. Besides this is set 500 yrs into the future, it'll take a while before we know for sure.
