Description
When you go back in time, things make a lot more sense. It's easier to see how things connect and how ends tie so perfectly together. All these things were meant to be, but you can only see it once you go back, sometimes farther back than you'd have hoped or imagined. I don't know how things changed like this for me, but I guess the only choice we have when things happen is to make the best of it. Or the worst, but that's not very ideal.

It's funny how things got to be this way, going forward only to come back. I worked up to this point without even realizing it. The universe has a sorting of guiding force, and if you listen hard enough, you can hear its voice pressing you onward. I can hear it as I walk down the road to somewhere. The sky is darkened and rain ponders itself overhead. Turning down the main road, I see dark clouds on the horizon, floating directly above my most troublesome old haunts. The largest cloud lay ahead of me to the southwest. I figure it's probably not for the best to go directly towards it just yet and I hurry to the bus station to catch the next E. Main.

The bus ride is uneventful, excluding several things. The first, I saw several faces that I used to know. That in and of itself is not strange, but what was strange was how they flickered back and forth between the child they were and the adult they had become, like a faulty television set, only far more dramatic. I believe they looked at me, as well, but it seems that I was unrecognizable, which could be a gift as well as a curse.
