Description Hi there folks!
I made this tutorial to share some of my tips on how to make plushies REAL QUICK!

This is using the chibi gengar I made a few days ago as an example, but you can really make whatever you want using the same techniques!

OK, so my speed tips are based on improvisation... and you get better at that by doing it a lot! However, in all honesty, a plush made with careful planning and care is always best.

This is more like because... OH SHIT it's my friend's birthday this evening and i haven't got him a gift"

Link to sphere tute if you're not comfortable winging it:

really though... just wing it. And if it doesn't work... wing it again! You'll pick it up, I promise!
With the sphere bit, the stretchier the fabric, the more forgiving. Use minky or fleece.

This is the most adorable Gengar plush i have ever seen. I am certainly making this for my friends birthday, pretty sure i can handle it with help from your tutorial. Luckily enough i have some purple minky fabric to use (i can't actually remember what it was i was going to make with it, so this seems like a good use of some of it haha)

Hi! Nice work, I love it. I just have one question, how do you sew up the gap in the sphere after stuffing it? Because I'm trying but I cannot get a good result.

Anyway, thank you for the tutorial

herro!

well, make sure to use very small stitches, and pull them tight (but not too tight).

I will try and make a diagram later! ^.^ Β good luck!

When you sew on the little bits (spikes, eyes, etc) do you stitch them by hand or use a machine?Β

I'm currently making him, took a long time to get the materials needed, I am now pinning both of the spheres together and I had an 'OH' moment where I can actually see that it's, slowly, coming together! I got fabric that is a bit more furrier and I'm making a bit of a mess. Β Everything is covered in purple fuzz lol.

Ooh thanks for a tutorial! Step one is a bit confusing for me though. I'm not quite sure what you did exactly. XD

that's ok, which bit in particular has you confused?

I guess it would have to be when you don't cut them out right away. I'm not sure what you did differently? And then the pinning part too.

Ooo thanks this was fun to look through! OvO I never actually considered not cutting the fabric till after sewing it... guess it's cause I was taught to cut it first? xD Super handy trick though :0

I like how you make a tutorial of your work for others rather than keep the secrets for yourself and make a profit selling the product. Good for you, Scilk.
